Wow! We popped in for a coffee, then discovered the range of decadent slices, all hand made on site. The menu looks amazing too, other peoples plates were piled with delicious looking food. We will definitely be back, thank you! 🙏🤗🥰

This is by far my favorite place to come grab a coffee and a bite to eat. The baristas are magicians behind the coffee machine and the chefs are wizards in the kitchen. I can't recommend this place enough. The cabinet section of sweet food is superb. The all day breakfast and lunch menu full of fanatic, delicious options.
10/10 recommend. Only place I grab coffee.

We were looking for breakfast prior to golf - a cluster of parked cars led us to this popular place. Prompt, friendly service. Lovely creamy flat white coffee and hot chocolate followed by the best eggs benidict ever (wife's conclusion) and the best big breakfast ever (my conclusion). Hash brown home made, lovely bratwurst sausage, tasty mushrooms, crispy bacon, grilled tomatoes, two perfectly poached eggs all over crunchy home made toast. All very tasty with no grease. A long black coffee to follow. Coffee was so good (Altura) that I had to buy a couple of bags. Conclusion - DO NOT MISS.

Solid without being spectacular. I ordered bacon and eggs on toast, and was glad I ordered an extra side of bacon, otherwise I feel like I would’ve been left well short. My wife had the waffles, and only had one waffle as the other was almost too dry to eat. Not terrible food by any means, but at $57 for two drinks and two meals I thought it would’ve been slightly better. The service was decent though

Visited Scope on the back of the many favourable TA reviews. Reasonably sized place with maybe 16-20 tables. Staff engaging and seemed happy to be there. Huge variety of baked goods on display. All day menu should have something for everyone. Darling chose the obligatory French Toast. Very home cooked look and taste (in a good way). Generous serve. I had the veggie stack. Adequate if not generous serve. Rostis had that double fried goodness. Plate was thoughtfully presented with mushrooms/pesto/sun dried tomato/feta. Mushrooms unfortunately were cold by the time the meal got to me. We had a boost smoothie to go with the meals. Ice rather than dairy based which can make them a bit watery but felt like we were doing something good for ourselves. Would certainly come back again.

Following reading the latest Nourish mag and searching trip advisor keen to finally have some great cafe food in Rotorua. Again it was just average and I will say I am fussy. Our chicken caramelized onion quiche was really bland and the pastry wasn't pleasant. The salad was oily and the dressing didn't have any flavour. Coffees and curly fries good. I loved the cake display but they made my teeth hurt looking at the amount of icing or caramel. We also had to sit for some time with dirty dishes and food from the last diners.

Very average brunch, read the reviews rating scope highly but the staff were rude. The waffles were so dry you could hardly eat them and it was freezing in the cafe. My husband enjoyed his bacon and eggs

We have eaten at Scope when we visited last year and again this year. The food is wonderful, the best "big brekkie" ever and the cherry friand was to die for, the coffee is everything you hope for, the service was warm, helpful and fast. Best cafe I have tried in New Zealand, just wish I lived closer! Oh and I see someone was a bit dismissive about the quality of the Scope scones, I have to disagree - they were absolutely delicious.

Our go to cafe in Rotorua, we’ve never been disappointed by the food - so delicious 😋 or the coffee ☕️. The owners & staff are super friendly and we always feel welcome. Definitely recommend a visit here - you will return time after time.

Very bad experience at this cafe the owner is a rude, unprofessional and disgusting liar
There's a clear pattern on the Google reviews that even customer that has given a bad review from there experience with her.
She then responds with lies and twist what has happen so every customer that has given a bad review are wrong or liars .Disgusting behavior and clearly shows how unprofessional you are to customers I don't recommend this place to anyone there menu says at the bottom if you have any dietary requirements they will make every effort to accommodate. All we asked is 1 out of the 5 of the biggest breakfast on there menu if they could just do a fried egg white you need to change your attitude and value customers

Partner needed to find me coffee early sat morning and Scope was open. He saw the baking selection while he was there...
Sun lunchtime we returned for venison burger and open steak sandwich. Now, steak sandwich was not presented like in photo (despite another review's comparison) and would have loved if steak cooked med-rare like photo, but food on normal plates was still nice food and medium steak was still tasty. Sage taste in venison burger may have needed to be balanced by beetroot relish that my partner asked to be left off, still nice. Curly chips lovely, hot and crunchy, which "Pig & Whistle" missed 2 nights earlier.
Staff friendly.
Partner right, baked goods did look good but our main plates were enough, will have to remember to return another trip.

Absolutely impeccable service and food! The staff were so pleasant and friendly, they immediately got us a high chair upon seeing our 1 year old and helped us to ensure he was safe and good to go. Coffee came quickly and so did the food and everything was made to perfection, couldn’t fault a mouthful. It was so awesome to have such a great experience with two young children. Had we been staying longer we would be going back. Thank you

Very nice café with good food, coffee and service.
Had a full breakfast there and then when back the next day for a coffee and cabinet food ...
All in All a grate little café with the bonus of being very price competitive ..
Will be sure to go there again next time we are in Rotorua

Lovely staff. When you peruse photos on trip advisor at a a cafe, you don’t normally get what you’ve seen. But our dishes, looked just as good, if not better. Stunning cafe food and also has vegetarian, gluten free and keto dishes, which is a bonus. I enjoyed a vegetarian burger with curley fries and the meal was delicious. Fast service too. Would def go there again.
