We couldn’t get in the night of our arrival so went back the next night. Food was outstanding & gorgeous French waitstaff! I sampled the house special cocktail & had the fish of the day cooked Asian style - delicious!!

Wonderful, intimate restaurant, with very pleasant staff and the best food ever. Celebrated our wedding anniversary here and the restaurant made us a surprise desert plate of macaroons and a chocolate printed message wishing us a happy anniversary Very touching and very much appreciated

This was our last restaurant on a 4 night excursion amongst some of the Paihia eating scene. Once seated and the very pleasant but small venue, it then took some 18 minute to receive some water, the menus and wine and drinks list took another...More

I have been taken to Provenir several times as a thankyou treat from friends. Consequently I have never seen the bill, but I know it is on the expensive side. The food is very fancy, but all those dots and dashes taste exquisite! The service...More

Given our experience at the hotel (see separate review for Paihia Beach Resort), we were expecting the worst from the limited menu choice at this restaurant, but the evening surpassed all expectations! The French chef worked a delightful cocktail of flavours with the different courses,...More

Four of us had a really nice dinner to end our holiday. Good value though not cheap. Particularly liked the waiters service and chat!

At Provenir we both had an excellent meal. We didn’t have starters and opted for the fillet steak - both were excellent - followed by a nutcracker sweet and cheese. We thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend. Enjoyed a bottle of Pinot Gris and were...More

Provenir is a modern local restaurant with a seasonally driven menu. The centre of the restaurant is the kitchen where ingredient quality is non-negotiable. Provenir emphasises the age old formula of simple ingredients cooked well, freshness with a sense of energy, a little bit theatrical, true to life with quality and a story. Hand made, artisanal, from farm to chef. We know our farmers, fisherman, wine makers & growers; from Rod McDonald with his Quarter Acre stunning Syrah, to Bill French who raises our Perendale Lamb, they are just a few of our team. Head Chef - Marcus Berndt
