We finally got a nice table but my girl was not happy, she wanted table by the water view and then this lovely Indian manager helped us in moving on this table by the water which my woman more hungry and... RESTAURANT'S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 26 January 2017

We visited this beautiful town on a cruise recently (17th January) The location, food and wonderful service from Kaira (our waitress) at lunchtime was amazing. So good in fact, it was the deciding factor in us booking another N.Z. cruise, yes we will return there for a looooong lunch.

We'd had dinner here four years ago and enjoyed it. This time we called in for lunch and were promptly seated. It is the low season but, in comparison to the other restaurants we ate at in Northland, it was so quiet - in fact for some time we were the only diners. The window tables are right over the... Food was tasty but very expensive for what was served. Cous, cous with lamb tangine. no vegetables and a very small portion. Any make with an appetite would leave restaurant hungry. I was also told could only book for 7.30 pm but when we got there only 2 takes were occupied Very disappointing.

Each year my wife and I celebrate wedding anniversaries and a birthday at this great location, and have done for around nine years. Last visit 15th May for lunch, we were greeted by waiter Leve who proved to be a great exponent of his craft, just the right amount of attention and conversation, should be a Maitre De, well done... From the glass conservatory on the stilts over the water, enjoyed some lovely wine and garlic baguette as a snack, loved it.

Stopped in for a few drinks and small plates with friends while passing through Paihia. Was convinced to try the Feast of Sea Board by Violet-Rose which were so happy we did. The freshness of the fish, oysters and clams were a treat and Chef Rado done a fabulous job with cooking the Fresh Fish of Day. Only let down... More
