Stumbled upon this by accident- great food and atmosphere and would definitely recommend. Love the decor, and the rock n rolla burger was amazing

What a great place to eat. Tucked away down the winding alley ways of Paihia Lanes great place to browse through the little boutique shops or find a place to eat. This place for us had the best atmosphere, awesome live music “duo coco” or...down the other end of the restaurant where people were watching the rugby. Sadly I’ve had to delete stars for what I witnessed behind the bar but first the what I would give 5+ stars for - the food, service, ambience - the best steak meals we’ve had in a very long time !!!! The two guys serving...tonight gave excellent service with the dark haired, butcher guy knowing the menu and deli goods for sale impressively well. Let alone provided the best service! So great to speak to and acknowledge the chef who cooked our steaks also! Great addition to Paihia… wish you were in our neck of the woods! As for the Barman - observed him (dark hair in bun, beard) the whole evening constantly rubbing/scratching his nose, face, beard, scalp & hair AND drinking straight from the cocktail shaker the cocktails he made BEFORE & AFTER pouring into customer glasses and then not even sterilizing the shakers (so all germs passed onto several customers). No one should be drinking his cocktails in these pandemic times let alone at any time - so disgusting!! As a side note - we had a lovely time the night before at the Tipsy Oyster : turns out they’re owned by the same owners.More

Best Guinness I've had in NZ in 8 years! The food was so much better than we expected when we first arrived but the star of the evening was the smooth creamy Guinness . It was smooth, creamy and exceptionally good. Like a premium red...wine in Air New Zealand's business class it just needed time to warm up. If they could reduce the coldness it would be exceptional. Such a great pint! If only everywhere else could replicate this I'd feel like I was back in Ireland.More

The gins were amazing, had 3 different types, my favourite, made with black Doris plums, served with plum chutney in bottom, tonic and lemon, sounds strange but was delicious The lamb taco was amazing as were the lamb burgers, a great night was had by...all Most staff had their masks below their chin otherwise would have given them excellentMore

Went for drinks & dinner with a large group. This venue is almost a one-stop shop. I bought a bottle of my favourite tipple at a VERY reasonable price from their extensive selection of spirits. We had a delicious meal and could’ve bought fresh meat...from the butcher inside. Reasonably priced meals and drinks, parking is on the street. Two things I’m not a fan of: the distance to the toilets (upstairs and through a maze of corridors) and the dessert selection. Still going back next visit though.More
