Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Looking at the menu caused more confusion than guidance. This is a restaurant/bar for the adventurous with most of the items being originals from a family of experienced and widely traveled chiefs. Bits from here , bits from there blended together over years of practical...experience. There were 4 of us so we all had something different and swapped about. It was all good with all manor of ingredients that none of us had dreamed of combined before. The service was excellent and in response to our many questions the the chief came out and explained the origins of the dishes we were eating.Next time we are in the Bay we will eat there again.More

The Tapas are simply stunning and in fact so are the cocktails. We will be back to try the burgers as they looked amazing. Well worth a small walk away from town. Enjoy the stunning view as you stroll along the waterfront. The food is...well worth it. Sorry no photos of the food as we just got straight into it!!!More

Patois has one of the best bramble cocktails I have ever had! It was fresh and delicious, and during happy hour is only $10. We also shared some of the jalapeno poppers and I would be tempted to return just to have more of those....The bar staff were also friendly and it's a great spot to stop and enjoy a drink.More

This place was recommended to me by a local, and I am so glad it was! The sweet gravy and chips was the meal recommended and it does not disappoint, infact, it is mouth watering amazing! A taste sensation I have never experienced before, and...cannot wait to have that sweet gravy again. The owners are just so lovely and welcoming, the decor is lush and very well laid out. This eatery would suit large parties, couples on a romantic day out and solo travelers. If you are a solo traveler (like me), and you want a good old natter, tasty grub and superb coffee, this is your place to visit! I want to go back and stuff my face all over again!More

Great, laid back atmosphere backed up with serious attention to cocktails and wine/beer offerings. Food is fun, too, much better than standard bare fare. Go for the ocean platter and you won't be disappointed. Cassava chips FTW.

The restaurant has a lot of character both in the atmosphere and the well thought out menu. We loved the cocktails on offer as well as the great selection of craft beers and wines to choose from. It was busy when we were there having...arrived just after a big group but they got our meals out quickly and efficiently. We will definitely be back!More

This little cafe is a charmer! My second time eating at Patois was even more amazing than my first...an experience I’m still telling people about! The food is done with care and shows the effort made; the double cheese burger is perfection on a homemade...bun, the coconut fish was a perfect lunch on a bed of fresh pineapple-chili salsa, and their lamb was so good that I cleaned the bones bare- a perfect med-rare, tender and very lightly seasoned. The drinks are dangerously tasty and combined with the groovy music in the background, it is the perfect place to relax alone or with a friend. I highly recommend this place! P.S. - the owners are really cool, hard working people who always have a smile on! Love it!!More
