I have dined at indigo several times now and have never failed to be impressed by the quality of the food or service. Every curry is divine, every naan bread cooked to perfection. Waiters and waitresses have always been polite and friendly. Without a doubt...More

My son brought me here for lunch. He is a vegan and I have special dietary requirements. He had chickpeas, I had butter chicken - much tastier than any I'd tried before. The service was excellent and it was lovely and quiet for lunch. I...More

Indigo never fails to keep me satisfied. I have visited many times and am always overwhelmed by the friendly staff and mind boggling food! I write these reviews because I want the restaurant to be recognised for its perfection.

I find this place is hit and miss. Mi got the samosa, chicken Saagwala and a parantha bread. Food was average. Samosa was very buttery, the saag was tasteless and the parantha was floury. Service was ok The new one in ahuriri is better

Bookings recommended, if you miss out on a table, home delivery is a good option. A shared meal gives the option of huge choices, a must have would be the tandoori lamb cutlets

vile, would never order Biriani again. Service was very poor - actually virtually non-existent. Had visited on previously and it was good. Feel it was just 'riding on ' previous good reputation for service and excellence but has gone downhill. Such a shame when a...More

I'm not a regular at Indian restaurants, so found the extensive menu overwhelming. However advice from the female staff member was welcome and helpful and resulted in a good meal.

Thanks for your review. A lot of people do find the menu to be full of dishes but we take pride in having a large variety of dishes. We hope you enjoyed your time with us. Thanks

Dined here with my wife last year as a birthday celebration. Service and food (Indian and Western) were excellent and to my surprise and interest there were hundreds of single malt whiskys to choose from. I had three of the best!! The proprietor is a...More

Description
What you can expect on the menu at Indigo We are a contemporary fine dining Indian restaurant where all of our dishes are cooked fresh to order. We never compromise on quality and offer a range of traditional and unique dishes, constantly offering our guests new experiences and tastes. Getting the spice right Our Indian hot is truly hot, so we only recommend it if you know you enjoy spice. We offer 5 more levels of spice from Extremely Hot,New Zealand hot, medium, medium-Hot and mild. Please ask us about which dishes suit the spicier styles such as Jalfrezi's and Vindaloos, as some dishes like Korma or Dal Bukhara are best enjoyed milder. The Kitchen We operate a traditional charcoal tandoor that you can be assured gives the best flavour to all our dishes including our selection of naan breads. All dishes are cooked from scratch specifically to your order. The Drinks Menu Indigo offers the largest selection of Hawke's Bay wine in the region and is proud to offer one of the broadest selections of gin, vodka, rum and bourbons. What are you famous for? We pour the largest whiskey selection in New Zealand with over 500 bottles on offer. Whiskey connoisseur and Indigo owner Paul Anderson will happily help you with a recommendation. You can order Indigo for delivery to your accommodation anywhere in Napier. This is ideal to continue sampling Hawke's Bay wines or global whiskies in your own time. You may also arrive at the Amber Bar after dining anywhere in Napier from 7pm. Where is Indigo Indigo is situated in the Parker's Chambers Art Deco Building built in 1932 in the heart of Napier. Table seating is ideal for groups, as well as booth seating for groups of 4 - 8. We recommend advance table booking Thursday through Sunday.
