Me and my friend wee staying at the crown, walked along the street and found masters of India. We had no expectations going in being on a quiet street. After the starter it was apparent through taste that we were in for some great food...and we weren't let down. Rustic in presentation but the taste left me questioning all the Indian I had from precious venues. The customer care was what delighted me the most it had a great family charm and they attentive care was apparent and did not feel like the generic "how was your meal" in other venues. Thankfully the meals were amazing but I felt like I would have been taken care of if there was one, that was how genuine the staff felt. It was only when we went to pay that I saw their previous accolades on the wall which came at no surprise. We would visit again if passing Napier.More

We stayed 3 nights in Napier and spent 2 of them at this restaurant, we loved the food and it was very convenient to the Crown Hotel just across the road.. The food was delicious, and the staff very nice.

Was looking forward to our meal out but was disappointed with the flavours of the curry. Both were far too salty. We ordered the lamb Kadai and chicken dhansak. The garlic naan was delicious though. The service a little lacking as well as the vibe...of the restaurant. The toilets really need an upgrade. Probably wouldn’t go back unfortunately which is a shame as the curry here used to be amazing from what I remember.More

I've been to visit this Indian restaurant many times - it's my go to. They always have delicious food with generous portions. There's superb service, and all the workers are extremely friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!

Had a delicious takeout meal over the long weekend. Generous portions, HUGE naan breads, speedy delivery and reasonably priced. Teenagers loved it. Will definately eat here again

Vinay goes above and beyond for his customers at Master of India. He happily seated 30 of us on Marathon Weekend which is a very busy weekend in the Hawkes Bay. He worked with me to design a set menu which suited the various dietary...requirements of our group and was happy to include the dishes I wanted. On the night, he regularly checked in to ensure we had enough food (we had plenty!!) and the food was all delicious. We will be back there next time we are in Napier. We all rolled out of the restaurant absolutely stuffed. Great value for money too. Thank you Vinay!More

This is my local favourite family restaurant, I really enjoy going, once a week for a takeaway and they make my dietary requirement. This is one of the oldest restaurants in Napier and Taupo. Really warm and inviting inside. I like coming once a week...for a takeaway or eating with family. Nice in winter time.More

A great experience - well done . Just a tip , do not over order , order a little at a time , enjoy the selections that I’ve never seen before , the flavours were superb .More
