The smallest icecream is 2 scoops, the flavour selection was quite large and the staff were friendly

Love the GF options and the waffle cones taste so so good! Caramel crumble was delish as was the peanut caramel cookie. Also loved how you got 2 flavours with the single.

Duck Island is a regular meeting place for my friend group and I. At least once every two weeks we go, order ice cream and play in the park across the street. An array of flavours, with testing spoons available! Have even bought a take...home pint or two before. Sometimes there is a line at times but it's always worth it. Staff are friendly and patient whilst you make the biggest decision of your life :P Will be a regular as long as its open.More

We stopped by after dinner to grab some ice cream. We weren't sure of which flavours to try so we opted to share a flight, servers choice of eight scoops of ice cream. We were lucky enough to get a table while we scoffed it...all down. The sticky rice one is very unique and has a nice salty coconut flavour. The toasted marshmallow one was also quite nice. We were there quite late but weren't rush out even though they were cleaning. a really nice place to stop by for some sweet and tasty dessert.More

Yum! On our list to detour to as we drove from National Park to Auckland via Hamilton. So glad we did! Really delicious ice cream. So many flavours we wanted to try. LOVE LOVE LOVE that Duck Island do 3 flavours in a 2 scoop...ice cream. Meant we could try 6 flavours between the 2 of us! Every single one was delicious. Lots of options for those with allergies, dietary requirements. Happily we have no food issues, so had free range across the flavours. Friendly efficient staff. Plenty of parking on main road.More

Yum yum yum. Cannot praise this place enough. So much choice and so yum!! Totally recommend this place for dessert!

Lots of different flavours to choose from. Great service. Friendly atmosphere. Have been here lots of times. It’s a bit more expensive but worth it.
