The staff in this place are so friendly!!! They taught my daughter how to make her fluffy and went out of their way to ensure we were happy with out meals. Very impressed with the keto menu. Lots of options, tasted great, beautifully presented.

Amazing food! Amazing coffee! And amazing people. Just Amazing everything.
My new favourite place to eat. Just wow!
Loaded avocado was devine. Couldn't fault any of the meals that were delivered.
I highly recommend visiting this cafe.
Keto menu, Gluten free range is amazing! And standard menu is outstanding. They have a specials board and you get a free coffee after so many coffees with their coffee card. Definitely a good move to like their Facebook page too. As they run specials on their page. Congratulations to the new owners. It has come together super well.

How great to have the first meal of whitebait for the new season. Succulent South Island whitebait served with fresh bread & butter and a delightful salad. Fritters made with love. What an excellent dish. Not a skimpy smattering of whitebait.

Absolutely used to love this place and come for breakfast almost every week with friends. Since it has been taken over by new owners the quality of food has gone downhill. Brought the big breakfast and the portion sizes were good but the quality of food was very average. Scrambled eggs were sloppy and watery and kransky sausages were not tasty. My friends meal was served almost cold. Friendly staff, but had forgotten to bring out curly fries that we had ordered but still tried to charge us at the end when we no longer wanted to wait. Coffee was delicious.

This business has so much potential! I used to love coming here. Recently when I have been coming in I have noticed that the staff, especially front of house, don't seem as happy to be there as they used to and is quite disheartening to see. One particular occasion that I came for lunch with my husband, which I believe was roughly the start of this month, it was very obvious that there was conflict between staff. At one point the chef was yelling at front of house to the point where customers, including myself, were quite uncomfortable. It was a very awkward environment and you could visibly see the poor girl was upset about what had happened. Maybe this was just obvious to me as I have worked in hospitality for 10+ years but either way I don't feel that anybody was comfortable after hearing that.
The stress showed in the food and was very average, not horrible but I wouldn't order it again. Besides this the service was great and by far the best coffee I've had in Hamilton thus far! Perhaps a bit of communication between staff would help resolve this.

It’s a really pleasant environment with friendly staff. We both just found the food really underwhelming to be frank. It wasn’t offensively bad, rather bland and unexciting. To explain, the sausages had no flavour (not even the chorizo) and the hash cakes lacked seasoning and overall flavour profile. I enjoyed the relaxed setting here but will only be getting a coffee if we go back.

This is and has been our post rugby ‘go to’ breakfast place for a few years, and it never fails to impress. We had a group of 9 and the service was superb - friendly, efficient and fun. The coffees were hot and great. The food was as always beautifully presented and yum. The best part was all meals came out at the same time. Thanks team Markyles!

The first few times I came here (when it was relatively new) I absolutely loved the place. They had the best coffee, food, and even better service. I came back not too long ago and was rather dissapointed with everything. It seems as though all the staff has changed and the service was no where near as welcoming as it was. My coffee was burnt, food was okay but quite overpriced. Would not recommend coming here when there are so many other great otions within Hamilton.

We are here from Lockdown and still waiting to leave to go home to Thailand.
We are very happy to find this lovely Cafe, with lovely friendly staff to greet you.
We have been 5 times so far and every time great, the coffee very good.There is always something different to eat and the staff point these out to you. My wife especially loves the food. I stick to the yummie cakes. Sorry to read some of the other reviews, wow it must have been good before. My wife and I think it’s great now, with friendly Staff.

We don't live in Hamilton but when we visit family. This place was our go too, mainly for breakfast.
It was always busy and had a cool vibe about it plus the selection of food was always great.
The selection wasn’t great, I remember having granola there in the past but the best was porridge. It was OK, how can you get porridge wrong eh.
My partner had eggs bennie, charged a premium price but not that great he said.
I’m guessing the place has had a change in management?? If so maybe they are still finding their groove, good luck to them!
The food looked great but was a tad under whelming, sorry!

We've come here a couple of times and will keep coming back. The service is fast and friendly, the food is tasty. Great coffee and fluffy. Extremely friendly environment for children. The staff make every visit relaxing and joyful

New Owners , and it is obvious , but hopefully it can progress to what it was. Staff were a bit casual and to have the owner walking around drinking and chatting to staff only was a bit unsettling. Food was tasty after a long wait , considering only 3 tables were attended. Will try again soon , hopefully

This is an amazing place to work from. Free WiFi and booths to be able to work without distractions of the office. Food is amazing. Friendly team make sure you feel right at home working. Excellent coffee. 10/10!

Unassuming little place. Exceeded expectation!
Nice casual atmosphere and quite a few diners but there was a table available for us 3. Very friendly staff, menu was easy to read and enough variations to choose from. Food presented well, and quantity was great. Coffee was great also. I would definitely go back there again!
