My brother and I wandered in at lunchtime on a Saturday and had a really nice selection of sushi plus tea for him and miso soup for me. I've had better miso but everything else was faultless and nicely presented. The premises are not prepossessing...but as a casual, self-service and/or takeaway place with great food I heartily recommend it.More

Tucked away in the Clyde street square there are two sushi restaurants - well cafes style sit down and takeaway sushi bars. Kobe is very good. Clean and tidy with a good selection of sushi and drinks.

For a nice cheap lunch, I recommend going there. I think it is the best value sushi in Hamilton and surrounding areas. Good variety and free green tea which I like. Personality of owner very standard and neutral but OK, you do not need to...have someone effusive. Most of the food served is nice to eat but I am wary of the salmon sushi as sometimes this can taste a bit off due to its not being totally fresh. Apart from that it is brilliant and I recommend it.More
