Tasty, was hoping to come back soon and dine with my wife. We live in Waihi Beach so see you soon. My friends came visited your restaurant this weekend and could not stop raving about the food, top service and atmosphere. Every time i have driven by Rice Rice Baby I cannot believe how full your restaurant is, obviously people are having a great experience, telling their friends and coming back..

Excellent food, definitely worth a visit

Visited for lunch, had a soup, Vietnamese coffee, and cocktails Food was brilliant - well priced, fresh and innovative Vietnamese with options for both those who want a more traditional meal and those who are more adventurous. Drinks were good but outshone by the excellent food. Service was pleasant, atmosphere was loud, bright, clean, very busy, vibrant, and cheery. Waitstaff were clearly new to their jobs but performed well regardless; I'm sure they'll grow more comfortable with experience.

Excellent Food

We went as a family. We were lucky to go in early as the place filled up within 15 minutes of opening. The service was pleasant and the food arrived in a timely manner. We ordered three dishes and i tried a little of all three. They were all very tasty and we left fully sated. Certainly going back soon.

Did not live up to the hype & would not go back

I was disappointed with our experience. I hate to be that person but the music was SO loud that conversation was impossible. The servers were friendly, but in an uncomfortable over-the-top way. Worst of all, the food was truly average. We enjoyed the teriyaki tofu (I'm not sure if that was the name) but it had no veggies so would be a bit sad as a main. (we shared a few dishes). The coconut rice was delicious. The summer rolls were completely lacking in flavour and also lacked a nice texture with tofu and avocado as the main ingredients. They didn't have that fresh crunchy feeling. The rice noodle salad was so lame and generic (bagged coleslaw, sad watery dressing) and although the tofu was nice the dishes overall were totally lacking in flavour. Our whole table left saying we wouldn't go back in a hurry. Sad to leave this review as I was so excited to try it. I forgot to add that the Vietnamese coffee (which I normally love) was truly awful to the point I couldn't drink it. Hugely disappointing experience.

Beautiful appetizers. Great broth. Overcooked noodles.

Food was a banger. My friends and I loved it and everything tasted wonderful BUT.. We just found the noodles way too overcooked - we could barely lift them without having them cut to pieces. This was something that was also a problem in the Tauranga branch and it seems that this issue still hasn't been addressed. This place would be my go-to for pho if it weren't for the noodles.

If you love loud music, mediocre food, high prices this is the place for you. As a group we asked several times for the music to be turned down. They refused. Plates of food were very basic and small. The one good thing was the service staff who were excellent. Not going back.

We ordered the Bahn me rolls which where great the roll was nice and crusty and the beef was well cooked and also great value Also order a beef noodle dish which was the best thing we have eaten in a few months We ordered takeaway really good service came in a fantastic paper bag made it easy to carry Be our new go too

Great food, colourful interior

Great food, colourful atmosphere Loved the food, great flavours! Can highly recommend the pork belly dish. Very colourful interior. Although there are plastic chairs and stools, it felt right for the place. So more a "street food experience" than a "fancy, cosy, romantic/special occasion dinner" place. They do lots of takeaways, so you could turn it around at home :-) . Diners were all ages, young, old, family, couples and friends. Lovely staff with attentive service. We will be back! Will definitely come back.

Not as good as the competition.

Not the best first impression. I read lots of positive reviews about the service, however I didn't find it that great compared with other similar restaurants. The food wasn't bad, but it was fairly bland compared with other Vietnamese food. Price wise, it's slightly more expensive than their competitors but the cooking isn't as good. I really wanted to like this place and it's by no means awful, in fact it's actually pretty decent. If you're looking for real value for money, I would highly recommend Saigon Noon, for a superior Vietnamese, dining experience.

Awesome food & good vibes

We enjoyed a couple of awesome meals (the pork belly and creamy chicken curry were the favourites). We also enjoyed some yummy and well priced cocktails. The vibe in the restaurant was really good, and we all said we enjoyed the nostalgia of the 90s music playing in the background.

Fun atmosphere, great food

I was impressed with the overall atmosphere and fun colourful decor, the food was above average and overall very good for price value and taste. My noodles were a little over cooked but the overall taste was great so I wasn't bothered. Had a fantastic time with friends and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend for yummy Vietnamese in a fun atmosphere and their in house siraacha is a must try

Delicious vegan wontons!

Chicken crackling and vegan wontons were crispy and VERY tasty and their dipping sauces were fantastic. The salt and pepper squid- yum. I had the sweet and spicy tofu for my main dish, another delicious dish and everything was so fresh. I loved your Saigon sour cocktail!

Great food, but music is a bit loud inside

Have been here twice now and have been very impressed with the food so far, but be careful where you sit inside as it can be quite loud with music. Sat by the door on my first visit and it was good, but sitting near the back by the counter this visit was a lot louder. The lighting is also quite dim to showcase the neon lights, which can throw weird colours on your guests. Also, bear in mind the food comes out as it's cooked, not all together.

I’ve always been jealous of the Mount locals having Rice Rice baby in their neighbourhood. Finally have RRB coming to Hamilton East and I cannot be more stoked! Always a great atmosphere and served the yummiest and authentic Viet food at the Mount whenever I visited, so, I’m really looking forward to experiencing the same in my neighbourhood. I’ll be a regular.

So much fun!

What a cool experience! It's like authentic street food within a modern setting. Light, bright, and funky. We arrived about 30min before closing so they had sold out of most things but we had the most delicious pho, fried cauliflower, and other yum food. The staff were so friendly and helpful, too. Can't wait to go back!
