We came in for a late lunch at 2pm and thought it would be quiet but it was still pretty full. We’re not sure if they were under-staffed but we had to ask three times (to three different people) for a menu and it took about 20 minutes to get one. The menu is digital so once we got the menu we never interacted with another person. The food was delicious. I got the Macaroni Cheese and we shared the onion rings which were a real hit… chunky and lightly battered… yum!

We were invited to join a small family group for a fiftieth birthday. It is a pub menu but with a good range of choices. Vegans were well catered for and our server understood their dietary needs. I follow a healthy diet and was surprised by the high quality of the salads which were fresh and included a variety of vegetables. The meat eaters were also happy.

We had a lunch catch up here and loved it! 4 adults and a 9 year old boy. Orders were taken quickly and delivered in a good amount of time. Cocktails ( mojito, cosmo, Black Russian and Long Island iced tea ) were all made very well. Food was on point! The chicken salad was so filling! Kids pizza went down a treat with my son too! Will definitely go back.

We ordered 2 pasta dishes and they came out barely warm. We also wanted a dessert but the dessert menu was not offered to us. When we told the manager he told us that the pasta had to have been hot as it had just come off the grill! I've never heard of grilled pasta before🙄 Waiter never asked at the table if everything was alright with the meal. All round it wasnt a good experience.....poor service and poor food.

Had 20+ people - tables set up separately
Atmosphere was standard, table was dirty and sticky which had dried up bird poop - had to watch birds flying in and out of the restaurant.
Also birds pooping on your food and drinks, not hygienic as you have to quickly eat your food or enjoy having bird poop too?
Not a good experience if you are trying to enjoy your meal.
Would recommend having an additional cover above the ceiling to protect the tables if you want to allow birds in your restaurant.

Took the wife there and ordered a couple of burgers, My chicken one was dry and rather plain. My wife had to ask the waiter if the beef patty in hers was cooked through as it looked very suspect. In 30 years of marriage I'd never seen her complain about any restaurant meal. The place needs better management to be honest.

We went here for a family catch-up dinner. Everyone enjoyed their meals which ranged from the Pork Belly, several different Burgers, Pizza, Beef Ragu and Chicken salad.
Staff were friendly and awesome to deal with. Topped off the dinner with sundaes which went down a treat. We had a great evening, thanks :-)

Decided on Foundation Bar for family birthday brunch and it was disappointing. Eggs Benedict sauce had a skin on it and not a pleasant taste, mashed salmon had dried edges like it had been sitting on the plate, toasted wheat bread was actually untoasted white bread. Food was luke warm. One of our party sent the food back as it was so bad. Cost refunded. Coffee was nice but sadly won't be going back.

Had the opportunity to spend a night with family we hadn't seen for many, many years and the location was perfect. The atmosphere was great and the service from the staff was fantastic. The food was excellent and there was a need for take away due to the generous serving sizes. None of us left feeling hungry and the pricing was great.

rated high so we went there.
we where confronted with an electronic gaged to place our orders and pay, handy you might think but not if they put in the wrong number of your table. our coffee arrived late and was cold and bitter so they replaced it in maybe the same or other dirty cups.
the salad had plenty of sugar in it so had the pizza. all in all not expensive but i rather go elsewhere and we won’t be back

6 of us visited on Sunday for lunch. We had a variety of food including 2 garlic and rosemary thin breads, yummy, salmon bruschetta, Smokey pork ribs, nachos, burger and chips , chicken salad and Caesar salad. All were delicious and served quickly. The only small complaint was the poached egg on the Caesar salad was over cooked and hard but the waitress did offer to replace it. Very nice atmosphere, would definitely go again.

Great food, the crispy drumsticks were absolutely delicious! Wasn’t keen on the digital menu but asked for a proper menu…no problem. All our food was so good. A couple of boxes to take home after. A bit slow with the drinks but when they did come it was on the house…a welcome touch. I’m visiting family from the UK & I was impressed.

We've dined here fairly often and quite frankly, loved it but on our most recent visit we accompanied our meal with a glass of wine each, in their terminology "a small glass".
Jacobs Creek Dbl Cab Sauv and "I am George" Shiraz.
Cost $15 each - equivalent to $90/bottle each. These wines are available at $20.00 and $17.99 respectively per bottle retail at the liquor store. A very hearty mark-up if ever there was one.
Once bitten, twice shy.
(Am I qualified to comment? - I was a restaurateur in my former life).

One person can make all the difference and our waiter "Mark" is an absolute GEM!
Tempting us with options and friendly banter. If only every where had someone like this. The food is good and the atmosphere comfortable. I find the entree's delicious.

I've treated myself to a great meal - again - while at The Base. A relaxed 'pub' (it's better than a pub) atmosphere, but one of the best steaks again, in a place with great service, very good wine selection, and very reliable quality of food. I hope COVID does not reappear through the idiocy of a few.
