Interesting menu, delicious meal. Great coffee too. Bacon on the eggs bene was smoky and tasty, oyster mushrooms are my fave and tasted wonderful in the omelette (which also came with halloumi and spinach). We have been here a number of times when we have visited Hamilton and it just seems to get busier and busier because of the yummy food and awesome staff. There wasn't a table for 4 and we were just walking away when one of...the staff called out to us that she could squeeze us onto a table while we waited for something bigger to become available. To me that's going out of your way as she could have easily filled that table with people that were waiting in line for the counter. Thank youMore
One of the managers(?) was antagonistic when answering my questions about GF options on the menu. She lectured me about what "coeliac disease" is, when I myself have coeliac disease. She abruptly ended the conversation by saying "well there's nothing here for you then, there's...nothing totally coeliac friendly." My Mum had driven all the way from Tauranga to have lunch with me and this was a REALLY disappointing experience. I won't be going back!More
We arrived at Grey Street Kitchen quite late in the day, we were told straight away that the kitchen closed at 2.30 so we placed our order quickly. Everything we ordered came to our table very quickly and it was delicious. The cabinet food looked...extrememly good and my coffee was lovely. I will be stopping here again when passing through Hamilton.More
Their porridge is a work-of-art to look at and is wonderfully yummy. And the service at GSK is consistently welcoming, friendly and super efficient. All of their food is wonderfully presented and delicious.

The Chilli Scram eggs are AMAZING! I dont live anywhere near Hamilton but have ensured that I make it a stop over on any work trip to have these eggs, I haven't had a chance to try anything else on the menu cause the Eggs...are too good to say no too. I have also ran into people and told them about this place and the chilli scram only for them to already know and begin engaging in a 10 minute chat about the eggs. Coffee is also great and worth a stop.More
Ford was delicious for our brunch. All staff were so friendly and helpful. Coffee was so good we bought beans for home. If we lived in Hamilton East we would visit frequently. And across the road from Duck Island ice cream!
We had not been here for a few years as it had changed owners and we did not like the food. However after reading a review in Nourish magazine we thought to try again. Very yummy good and great coffee. We will be back
We went for coffee just after 3.30pm. A man was stacking chairs on the tables so we asked if they were closing early as their site said 4pm closing. There were a few other people at tables, and they said they were not closing. We...ordered coffee and the man continued to stack chairs. Coffee arrived and he commenced mopping the floor around us and around the next bemused couple trying to order at the counter. Then it was noisily scraping the concrete floor as the chairs were taken down. This is not what we go to a cafe for. The coffee was great, the chance to enjoy it in peace was totally absent.More
