Went for our first out of lockdown meal tonight, I go to this restaurant all the time in Queenstown, and it is excellent. The food was cold, beef was not tasty had no flavour. Squid was really rubbery. The chicken for kids well, it was...so tiny, really you need to do better then this for the price. $117.00.More

Not the best place to go. Had tough /fatty lamb shanks in Malaysian sauce. With yesterday's microwaved roast potatoes. Gluggy warm rice. Lovely setting spoilt by someone's chunder all over the front steps.

Worst meal I have ever experienced. Expensive and without substance or taste. Shabby environment, main took 1 minute after order. That told me it was pre made and heated snd caused me to comment on the speed. Waitress replied they are quick cooks here, and...that is what the end product is. She was unable to describe the food adequately when asked. Barely no meat on a $28 main and fatty and $28 for platter for two was enough for one. My recommendation AVOID and find a service that encourages customers to come back. Oh knives and forks in washed out patties can on the tableMore

Poor hygiene. Chairs and floor were dirty, has dried food bits. Ordered CHAR KWAY TEOW and MADAM ’S AYAM CHICKEN CURRY, food had absolute no flavor very blend. Staff told us that's the exact recipe they have. Don't waste your money and time.

Over rated, very average, a sad Asian offering. Squid was so tough, told it was a personal preference! The Takapuna madam Woo leaves this for dead! Flavour was very middle road, sweet and lank.

Great meal in a fab room - we had pork wontons to start and I had the duck salad and hubbie chose the tofu and spinach. Both delicious and served quickly and efficiently. Great value too. Always a good time at Madam Woo!

This place was recommended by family but I was very disappointed. While the decor, service and menu was excellent, the food was actually sub-par. We has Lobak which is similar in concept to spring rolls but the pork filling was in larger chuck pieces. The...5 spice chicken was over-cooked and tough to eat and the Char Kueh Theow was salty (too much soya sauce). Over-priced and under-whelming for $92 for a couple!More

We strolled up about 7.30pm on a Friday night and found the place to be pretty busy. Didn't think we would get a seat, and the couple before us were turned away, however pleasantly surprised that a table was quickly found for us. Lovely friendly...service by everyone who served us. Delicious food - turmeric chicken satay that melted in our mouths, lovely duck Malaysian slaw, and beef rendang. Generous portions too. Good choice of lovely wines. Overall an absolutely lovely visit - first time we have been but can't wait to go back when next in Hamilton.More

Lovely flavours and range of good options. Stoked to see they do takeaway and reasonably quickly. All tasted very nice. Ended up paying for a dish that wasn’t there but the team there have sorted it for next time which is good. 4.5 stars if...it wasn’t for the missing duck which was the dish I was most looking forward too! Will be back.More
