Wonderful dumpling

I went there for the first time and the place look a bit old but there were people in there. I asked the worker if I can buy dumplings to takeaway and he said yes then gave me the menu. There is a lot of things in the menu but found the dumpling menu which has a lot. I chose one as I wasn't sure which one to get and ordered it. I asked how long it will take and he said 15 minutes so I said ok, I'm just go for a walk as it was hot in the shop. I came back as it was too hot and got to look around the shop. My dumplings were done by 15 minutes so he was correct and it was very hot. He put it into a paper bag and I was glad as I forgot to bring a bag to carry it. I ate it with some friends and it was delicious. I would go again and I want to try all of the flavours of the dumpling and try the other food they sell.

I was having dinner with my partner today. We ordered: pork+mushroom dumplings, taro milktea, beef, lemon chicken, and preserved egg tofu. The dumplings were normal not very juicy. Taro milk tea was okay but didn’t taste any taro. The beef was too spicy and dry (I think it’s just I don’t eat spicy that’s why I felt spicy). The lemon chicken was okay. The preserved egg was so salty. The service and the environment was great actually. Just the food, need more improve. ((This is just my opinion after I finished eating my orders, doesn’t means the restaurant was bad. ))

Tried the dumplings, amazing if god took a holy shiit itll taste like this, beautiful, and for a great spicy zing add over the devil's pee (chilli oil) and itll burn a hole through your aanal cavity and have you in aww, highly recommend chicken and cabbage dumplings itll leave you craving more like a fiending crack whorre😍

Came here on a public holiday

Came here on a public holiday and it was an absolute shambles. Completely overwhelmed with orders and waited for an hour for our food. Suffice to say the dumplings were cold and stodgy as were the combination noodles. Will not be returning to pay $30 for sub-standard food.

very very disappointing

got delivery of Pork Mince, Chives & Prawn Dumplings they were fantastic, spring onion pancake was great and then unfortunately my usual favorite the stewed pork belly in brown sauce was very very disappointing, just looking at the dish in the container was a put off and used to be decent sized bits of pork but this time small bits and the taste of the dish was yuck. definitely not worth the $32 for that dish won't be ordering from this place again.

Bland and gross

Paid $20 for a sad bowl of broccoli. Sweet and sour tofu tasted moldy. Chicken noodle soup was grey and didn’t have much chicken or flavor. There’s so much great Asian food in Auckland. Skip this place. We ordered from Uber Eats.

Very very good food here!!! Vegetarian food with dumplings is delicious. The vegetables are also so good, garlic broccoli 😊 staff are also lovely. They do dine in and take out which is also very good.

Reliable, delicious and cheap!

I cannot fault this place. Service is quick. An awesome variety of dishes including dumplings, soups, vegetarian, seafood, poultry and red meats. They also have a sizzling platter list - my personal favourites. They are also flexible with the amount of dumplings you order - you can order 10 instead of 20. Excellent flavours! I have not yet had a disappointing dish from this place. Food comes out within 10 minutes of ordering, usually within 5 minute! Love Mr Zhou's.

Basic Restaurant, Great Dumplings

Ordered the pork and chives and pork and coriander dumplings. Both were very tasty but coriander were the winner. Would definitely return to get a takeaway. Restaurant is very basic. The young person serving was friendly.

Mr Zhou’s Dumplings rock!

I’ve been twice now and love this place! Nothing flash in appearance but the food makes up for it. A large menu, quick service and very flavoursome food. The dumplings are great and very reasonably priced. You can choose boiled, steamed or fried. Pork and cabbage was a favourite. Also liked the spring onion pancake. I had wontons with shredded chicken soup and it was really good. A huge serving so able to take home the remainder. So many more dishes I’d like to try...very happy this is a local for me....I’ll be back!

Delicious dumplings

We spent sometime before getting a parking space but the inconvenience was worth it....from the road,this restaurant looked plain and unimpressive,the inside was very bare and spartan but almost all tables were occupied...service was typically Chinese style, swift and to the point, with hardly any politeness, but the dumplings were the best we have ever tasted.The vegetables and the noodles were excellent too...my son who lives in Auckland loves the dumplings here and is a frequent customer; he very adeptly ordered the necessary,while we the parents just enjoyed the meal...Highly recommended. Price charged was fairly reasonable but the service needs some improvement though.

Disrespectful employees

My partner and I were looking forward to a nice dinner when one of the female employees started shouting to her co-workers. She was also banging the chairs around and didn’t care that there were still customers dining. To make it worse another woman came out and they shouted at each other. This went on for like 20 mins. I felt that they were very rude, disrespectful and inconsiderate to their customers. My partner and I were very hungry so we have to unfortunately eat and suffer the entire time we were there. Not coming back here again.

Big serving noodle for two

We didn't go for dumplings but order the noodle instead for dinner because we need to catch the late night flight. Long queue during Friday evening. We waited quite long for our order and also to wait for the food to be served. I order the noodle for two to share with my sister. Very big bowl and a lot of ingredients in it. Taste delicious at the price of NZD 22.80. Though very busy and packed, the restaurant owner treated us well and try to put us together when he found out we were in tour group. But we didn't mind the sitting as long as the food served were nice.
