Food was not too bad but we were charged for tea that’s normally free elsewhere. Tea price wasn’t written on the order form either so we were quite surprised with being charged for it. Make sure to check the amount you’re paying before you pay...for additional charges.More

Booked a table for 11.30am 5 for Mother’s Day. Got asked to move it to 11 on the day which we did to accommodate busy day.Told we had to be out by 12.20. The restaurant was busy. Most food was prompt, but after asking for...ice cream balls for end of meal, got them halfway through. Got two savoury dishes after them. Had changed one of the noodle dishes to another one. It was clearly crossed out on the order sheet. They made it by accident. When we realised the error we bought it to their attention. It was almost untouched. We were told we had ‘accepted’ it and had to pay $31 for it. Didn’t seem right. We hadn’t ordered it, it was their mistake. We took it home in a takeout container. Food was good and hot, reasonable price. Service felt harried and unwelcoming. We were reminded of our leaving time at 12.16… as they put another dish in front of us. 4 mins to stuff it down. It was a busy day but could have been a much more enjoyable experience.More

The service here is shocking! We booked a table for 5 and when we arrived they took us to a table for 4 and squeezed us in. The waitress was un attentive. We had to call her to order food and dessert. We work so...hard for our money and to spend at a place like this is just unjustifiable. The only saving grace was the foodMore

Not organised and everyone was cramped at the main entrance and wasn’t served or told what to do. Servers were rude and the food doesn’t stand out from the regular the more “affordable” restaurants anymore than it’s price. I’ve ordered about 9 items and received...1 item with the usual tea before everything stopped. Waited 30 mins before asking the server and they didn’t bother talking. Disappointed after being recommended by friends.More

Went with my partner and two friends, we got a total of 6 dishes and 2 beers each for just over $200, everything was really yum and loads of food. Probably didn’t need to order as much as we did but you live and you...learn!More

After walking by we saw that the lights were on but the signboard just folded up against the stairs, we walked up anyway and found the place packed with a lot of westerners too, the food was fresh and tasty, the service was great. We...will definitely go and visit often now.More

It's no exaggeration when I say that I was underwhelmed with the food. In all fairness the Yum Char was decent but the food from the menu was grossly underseasoned, flat on the palate. I've had better, honestly. Hopefully they will take this feedback constructively....Personally, I won't be back as there are many establishments that offer far better food in Auckland.More

Had a slightly different yum cha experience during Covid which meant ordering off the menus but that wasn't actually a bad thing and food was still served fast and efficiently. One of the waitresses got a bit grumpy when we requested moving to a warmer...table and made out it was a bigger hassle than it actually was (we hadn't even sat down at that point) but once seated all was fine.More

Good prices, small dishes and excellent tase. Feels like you are in Hong Kong when eating and being served tea with your meal. We tried 6 dishes and all tasted authentic and yummy. Would come back again!
