Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The coffee, and food were very good. The young lady that served me was even better. A great place to eat and drink, without the hustle and bustle

This cafe is tucked away in an arcade off the main road down to the ferry terminal and is easily missed. Seek it out because it is a little gem of a place ideal for breakfast. Excellent food including eggs on toast, pancakes, muesli, sandwiches,...rolls etc. Oh and very good coffee, The staff are friendly and helpful however their first language is not English and you may have to point to what you want on the menu rather than ask! Persevere - it's worth it. Good Wi-fi.More

Our first morning in Auckland and we stumbled on the Strand Arcade Cafe thanks to a billboard on the main street. And what a great breakfast it was! The food was all fresh and beautifully prepared and presented. Tea and coffee were excellent and the...girls working in the cafe delightful. So, we'd highly recommend a visit - if breakfast is the most important meal of the day this is a great place to get it!More

Eggs Benedict was good and the fruit, yoghurt and muesli "light" option was quite large. With coffee and tea the bill came to 32 dollars-good value.

We found these dear little cafe in the Strand arcade shopping are of Auckland, we saw they had free wifi so though have a coffee as well. The cappuccino was one of the best I have ever had and looked perfect as well. The chap...was really helpful with the wifi, even logging on for me, we stayed ages. The reason I have not given a Five is that they have no washrooms there, but he again was helpful and showed us where the nearest ones were.More

Such a good find in Auckland and close to the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Breakfast couldn't be better. Quick and friendly service with good quality food at a very reasonable price. Auckland is so lucky to have such a wonderful cafe. I'll be back!

Went there for breakfast months ago and went and found them again as it was so good. Quaint little spot, great food. Best coffees in Auckland. Customer Service brilliant.

We ordered two Open Steak Sandwiches, both were very nice, tasty and generous size. I will have to go back and try the homemade Steak and Cheese pie, it looked delicious. The only downside was the time it took to get our meal, but they...were extremely busy and I think maybe a little short staffed that day. Lovely service with apologies, will definitely go back again.More

Don't let appearances deceive - this place may look a little tired, like the arcade it's located in, but it's a great wee find for visitors or inner city workers alike. It's not fancy but does what it does well and is clean and inviting,...with consistently friendly and prompt service. The operators seem willing to make suggestions and tailor anything if they can. The food is good quality and great value for money, and I find the coffee better than many other places - it's subjective, but personally I prefer it to some more upmarket cafes. I enjoy it as a sanctuary slightly off the beaten track away from hustle and bustle and noise of Queen Street.More

My new wife and I decided to have breakfast here. Very friendly service, fantastic Eggs Benedict for both of us and a very decent coffee and hot chocolate. They even gave us a complementary muffin as we are on our honeymoon! Also, the ambience of...the cafe is very good. Highly recommended.More

This small cafe is a travelers dream! From the moment you walk in the customer service sweeps you off your feet! The free wifi they provide is high speed. The coffee and eggs benedict are to date the best we have had! Highly recommend!!!

Had a pie, a cold drink and a flat white on Sunday before they close. Coffee is ok, filling of the steak and cheese pie is a bit runny though tasted ok. Overall experience is ok but the sticky spoon came with my flat white...really annoyed me. Made me wonder how did they get an A from the city council.More

First time I stumbled across this little gem was last year. Now it's 'the usual' for me and my boyfriend. The coffee is great and the food is made with love. They put a lot of effort in and I really miss it when I...don't have breakfast there. The owners are absolutely lovely and even recognise my boyfriend and me when we walk in. Thanks guys for the lovely service, coffee and food!More
