Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Last night was my second time at Baduzzi and everything was exceptional. Food was great and customer service was excellent and as a plus I overheard some Italian being spoken among some of the staff, and it was music to my ears! I might be...biased because I'm passionate about the Italian language 😊 🇮🇹More

This place gets everything right! As a regular customer, and as someone working in the area, Baduzzi is where I find myself time and again. It could be for a glass of wine and a nibble over a work conversation or for a bigger celebratory...family meal, its my "go to" place. Everything works, the decor and ambience is sophisticated and delightful, the staff are that wonderful mix of being both attentive, hospitable and warm, with the ability to "read the play" of their patrons. The menu has that wonderful mixture of offering both small and larger plates that satisfies the simplest to the most discerning palate. There is something for everyone, and for any occasion. The warm squid and cannellini bean salad, the cacio e pepe pasta, the wild red deer meatballs (polpette) are yummy! And just a few of my favorites. There is plenty to choose from in the wine selection, including an extensive range from Italy, oh what a joy! The only addition I would make would be to include some NZ zero alcohol craft beers (and my husband might come more often). This place is always a pleasure to visit. I keep going back.... NicolaMore

This is our "go to" for lunch or dinner. Never been disappointed. This team know what they are doing and the service is always professional, knowledgeable and personable. Makes a nice change from the mediocrity. Baduzzi is my recommendation to all my clients. Ambience is...welcoming and caring. I have my favourite dishes such as the "in house" made pasta Cacio Pepe plus any of the meatball dishes, which aren't really meatballs they are tasty morsels of deliciousness. If you want a more hearty meal go for the Wood fired bistecca. Perfection every time. Their wine list is extensive and well matched to their menu. As the Wynyard crossing bridge is closed for maintenance till end of 2024, if walking you need to walk around the marina. An extra 10 minutes in walking time but well worth it.More

The venue is nice and has a good vibe. However, we made the mistake of booking for a late sitting and the whole experience was a bit rushed as the guys were set on closing as late to 9pm as possible. We shared the 3...lamb meatballs starter there were very nice . They apparently specialise in their meatballs. I then had fish and clam tagliatelle main which wasn’t very flavoursome and needed Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top to give it flavour. Hubby had the ravioli. The portion was very small and was not great value for money and again lacked flavour. Rather than having desserts we decided on another drink which they had forgotten to process so we chased them up and the Manager kindly gave them to us for free for the inconvenience. Overall a disappointing first meal in Auckland 😞More

We braved the rain and walked the long way around to Baduzzi as the bridge is currently not working but it was worth it. This place was terrific and the pasta is melt in your mouth delicious. The entree of octopus was a taste sensation...with the sage leaves and the wine from Italy was excellent. The wait staff was kind, informative, funny and full of good suggestions. Do try this place is was just like being back in Italy.More

Another wonderful meal for our group of 8. All food was exceptional. Beautifully presented and delicious. Staff are always incredibly obliging and friendly and tonight was no exception. Our waitress (apologies, I cant recall her name but she was from Tuscany so youll know who...I mean). She was incredible, a permanent smile on her face and so helpful with food and wine choices. Then there's Allessandro who was his useful delightful and friendly self. Thanks again for a fantastic evening. You really do excel each time we visit.More

Immaculate service and the most delectable food. Unquestionably would recommend to others and go back here myself. Eyes most certainly eat first and I have to say, my eyes were not disappointed. The presentation of each and every dish was beyond my expectations and most...importantly the flavours were to die for. Yearning to go back to this first-class restaurant as soon as possible. Wish I could give this place more starsMore

An incredible experience. Table near the open kitchen (great to see the chef and the cooking brigade working). Great service and advice at the table (wine and food). Had the chance to have a French server for some translation (big thanks to him from husband)....And the exquisite tiramisu to end it all. Thank you again for everything. Pierre & Jerome. I’ll be back to discover the rest of the menu ;)More

I came here for the first time with a friend for dinner, and it was such a beautiful experience! The food, service and drinks were all incredible. It felt like I was on holiday in New York. I would definitely recommend trying the tiramisu, it...was unlike anything I had ever tasted, and had an Irish twist—with some Baileys in it! Take the waiters advice on the food, they know their stuff.More
