We really enjoyed this experience.Food was delicious, atmosphere was very warm, busy, many happy families out for dinner on a cold rainy mid week night in Auckland.Just what we needed for catching up with younger family members.Although our table was on the outside we were warm and comfortable, good heater and well covered in. Service was swift and friendly. Will go again when next in the city.

I went to get some takeaways from here. I've done so many times before and I keep going back because the food is delicious. I love that they have included lots of dessert options too. Not only that, they have a stack of food that they put aside for people in need. I love seeing restaurants that give away some of their food to help people who really need the support. Its a beautiful thing to see :D

We go here often and normally like the food as its authentic. And being from India, I should know. This time we ordered Onion Pakora, Spinach Chicken and Paradise Special Paneer Masala. We don't normally have rice or breads. The Paneer was really good. So was the chicken, probably the best spinach chicken I have eaten for a while.
But the pakora was lousy. It was not the traditional onion pakora. It was more like half onion rings. Instead of chickpea flour, it seemed to have used rice flour perhaps. And the seasoning was sprinkled on, rather than being in the batter. Why would you kiwify things. You have grown because of authentic food. It was disgusting and insipid. Almost no spice or chillies, and not enough salt.
We would probably go back but will not be ordering the Onion Pakora again.

Renowned as one of Auckland's better Indian eateries we gave it a go on a Monday evening and opted for the a la carte option (591 Sandringham Road) as opposed to the sister buffet one a few doors down. We weren't disappointed. Food is the key note at this establishment and while service and decoration were totally acceptable they aren't the house specialty. Unusual service in that you're shown to your table given water and a menu and when ready to order do so at the counter (and pay for it at the same time). The young lady at the counter (Sami?) was friendly and very helpful in ensuring that our order was not only going to be sufficient to satisfy not only our appetites but our tastes as well. Shortly thereafter food started arriving with little if any break between appraisers and mains. The Lamb Saagwala and Chicken Jalfreazay were incredibly good and the house specialty, Mutton Dum Biryani, not what I would normally consider, was fantastic. No room for desert plus another interesting aspect that made zilch difference to our experience was the absence for sale of alcohol. Great Indian food is what this establishment is all about and they do this exceptionally well.

We heard some good things about this place so thought to visit it from Hamilton today 28.7.2020 but it turned out to be one of the worst Indian dine-in restaurant in Auckland. We ordered Daal makhani which is one of the key dishes in any India menu and general assumption would go that it would taste reasonable if not the best. This dish i would never recommend anyone to try. It was just complete watery with rubbish in taste. Other dish, roasted chicken was below average. What we only liked was garlic naan.
One more thing, server was completely untrained, he was just throwing (roughly putting plates on table) food at us. We don't expect service like 5 or 7 star place but at least they need to train staff how to serve. Horrible dine-in experience.

Biryani was absolutely worthless. It's not even close to Hyderabadi biryani...they have just spoilt it to please their kiwi customers. You need guts to maintain authenticity. We cook authentic food for our kiwi friends coming to our home and they relish it. Here they are just fooling people with their cheap fake version of indian food.

The food was great. Colourful, tasteful.. but when you pay 100 dols for 4 people the last thing you want to hear when you ask for another scoop of rice is to pay "2 dols". It's a shame to ask money for a refill of rice. Especially when the first scoop served isn't even more than 120g. It's not about money but principle. This restaurant is overrated according to the food and the customer experience. Moreover, a smile is priceless! I think it is a better value to get the food takeaway to not be disappointed.

Paradise left a bad taste in my mouth.Growing up, we always trusted a Muslim run restaurant because they were honest. Today I decided it's time to finally speak out. The standard has steadily declined over the past year. While costs have risen ,food portions have reduced. Today I bought a pepper chicken. In front of me,me watching, this rude counter staff, filled the box with gravy. I told him to add some meat instead of so much curry and he simply ignored me. He didn't care. The integrity and honesty is gone out of Paradise. Over the past three visits, I have been disappointed by bad service, lesser portions and general apathy. Open a travel agency or do something else Paradise because you don't seem to value customers any more. While I will spread my feedback through word of mouth and stop the corporate lunch buys which were worth $500+, I will keep visiting and posting my reviews. I understand that Auckland is now worse than a third world country but I still don't want to take this low class, unethical service from anyone. For a $18 dish, the 3 chicken pieces may have been worth $2.00. Daylight robbery. Bad attitude. Terrible portion sizes. Time to give our business to other Indian restaurants.

This review is specifically for vegetarians who enjoy food at Paradise. We found a piece of chicken in Kadai Paneer! Not only they deny this happening they said such an incident was the first time. Just look at Google reviews with people complaining about worms in food.
Also never order any indo chinese food from here they simply can't make it remotely close to what you can make at home. They simply lost a regular customer today.

Food is delicious but we’ve had items missing a number of times when we order for pick up or Uber eats - rice tonight (even when ordered separately as required) and a korma last time. It’s expensive and a special treat so disappointing not to have the care taken to properly fulfil an order. We didn’t get a response or a refund for the missing korma ordered through the website. We got a refund through Uber eats for the rice but not really the point when you’ve got a lot of curry with no rice.

A lot more food colouring in the dishes (green and red dyes that are actually banned in India but still legal in NZ), and wow talk about a price hike. Takeaway used to be $12 then $13 which was great value without rice NOW $21 for a takeaway without rice. Eat in now nearly $25 a main, pure greed. This business was founded on value and a quality taste now it's buy the cheapest ingredients and charge the most. Was a regular customer now will go elsewhere. I wonder if they have increased their staff wages up 40%

A FOH (white) staff told us to walk back to the waiting area after another (Indian) staff welcome us and told us to choose a table. Mind you this is at 1415hrs, and the restaurant was half empty.
We walked out to the waiting area and waited for her to sort the sitting arrangement.
She came back and aggressively handed the menu at us at the waiting area. I asked her today reason for handing the menu to us now as we’re not even seated and could she show us to table first before handed us the menu.
She turned around and say that I was rude. I told her that it was a basic customer service in all hospitality settings. She completely ignored me and walk ahead, chose the first empty table near the cashier; which was the original table the previous staff assigned us. She put her menu on the table and walked away.
We seated, looked at the menu, felt disbelief with the customer service and walked away.

Me and partner bought lamb dum ka and chicken noodle just this passed Monday night around 9ish. Lucky my partner decided it was too late for her to eat and i ended up eating it all by myself.Ate didn't taste fresh, I wondered if the food had been stored in those trays too long.
Woke up the next day with a bad stomach cramp, constant diahrea could not go to work for the remainder of the week. I'm still in bed, and lost my appetite.
I think this restraunt needs quality control checks.

Take away experience has been horrible. They put meat curry instead of vegetarian food we ordered. Drive all the way back home 20km find out chicken curry instead of Veg. Called multiple times to restaurant very unprofessional staff over the phone. When we put honest Google review they refused to issue voucher with comment management is not happy with our Google review. Many other places offer food in the same area. They too busy so don't care about individuals.
