There is not a great deal of seating space in this popular café so it is worth avoiding the busiest times or being prepared to wait. The regulars are a slightly alternative crowd. There is a very friendly atmosphere. There are board games to borrow and books to read on quiet days.
The coffee was very good. I had a long black which was robust and flavoursome. The food menu is limited, they focus on getting the coffee right. My wife and I both had the three cheese toasted sandwich. I have eaten many toasties, this was one of the best I have had. Served on thick slices of sourdough there was plenty enough cheese for anyone.
The staff were all helpful, friendly and speedy. I will most certainly be returning.

Remedy cafe is a very cozy coffee shop with great breakfasts. I went there for breakfast two days in a row, getting avocado toast one day (yum) and trying a bagel with smoked salmon the next. My husband ordered two different items and all were well worth the prize, tasted great and looked beautiful to boot. I didn't give a 5 rating only because on the second day our waiter forgot our flat whites until we went up to ask for them.

4.5/5 experience. Delicious food, warm service and a cozy vibe.
The salad was fresh and has plenty of ingredients. And the dressing is complimentary.
The quality of the matcha oat milk latte is also very good.

Visiting from Wellington with my two teenagers and stopped in for a late breakfast. We’d walked a long way in the heat to go somewhere else that turned out to be closed, so nerves were a bit frayed. Remedy was perfect for all three of us. The service was relaxed but responsive. When I asked for a couple of changes to menu items, nobody batted an eyelid. The coffee was excellent (and I’m fussy about my coffee) and the nut and seed granola was lovely, not too sweet. My son’s smashed avo (no. 1) looked great and disappeared without trace very quickly, as did the iced mochas. By the time we left we were all smiles.

I had a good breakfast here and have to say for the size of the place they have a reasonable selection to choose from on their menu. There is seating inside and out but it is limited, so you might want to be prepared to share the large table or seating by entrance. The service was good and I did enjoy my breakfast. Will definitely look to visit again next time I’m in Auckland.

On our first day of vacation from England we stumbled across this coffee shop down from the Quest apartments. Excellent pastries, reasonable coffee and very good service. Very few tables inside but we had a nice table on the pavement outside. Order at the bar and they bring it out for you with complimentary water. Remedy has free wifi for customers and access through the back to the Irish pub's toilets next door. Would recommend.

We tried cos of the reviews. I think there is no wow. Just decent mocha & flat white. We didn’t try the avocado toast though it looks popular item in cafe. There’s only 3-4 pple working in the cafe, hardworking folks.

AMAZING food. Quick and friendly service. Great coffee. We had been travelling all night and this was the delicious start to the day that we desperately needed. The avo, tomato and vegan pesto bagel was perfection.

Great little place. The young man that served us was friendly without being overpowering.
Very good coffee and a laid back retro decor in central Auckland. A good range of bagels etc.

Coffee used to be great at Remedy. Recently ordered a takeout flat white which was extremely bad. Milk was flat, looked more like a milky cup of tea than a barista made coffee. Wouldn’t recommend - far better options in Auckland CBD ( especially for the price point of coffee these days)

Fresh. Veggies. Too good. Cappuccino. So good. Very convenient location along CBD area. Nice quaint cozy place. Limited seating so just wait a little. Locals and travellers visit the place for IG pics. Highly recommended to visit and eat and take some memories with you.

Best coffee in CBD, possibly whole of Auckland? Fab little upbeat place for your early morning coffee and people watching meditation. They know their coffee here and also do yummy snacks and have an eclectic book swap shelf. Can be busy but worth waiting.

My brother and I are in quarantine in Auckland CBD. We looked for a cafe nearby that would deliver coffee and found Remedy. Phoned to make an order and couldn’t pay by CC and had no way of transferring money to them. They told us not to worry, come past and fix us up at the end of your two week quarantine!! Amazing. Since then they’ve faithfully delivered coffees to us and the coffees are the best. These guys are great. Can’t wait to get out and meet them.
