I highly recommend the Korean Fried Cauliflower (eagerly devoured by my teenage son who doesn’t like cauliflower or spicy food), the Soft Shell Crab, and the Strawberry Marshmallow for dessert. The service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. Would love to go back again.

We loved Hello Beasty and can definitely recommend it. The service was wonderful and drinks very good. The best dishes we enjoyed were the lamb shoulder and prawn toast. The hibachi prawns were disappointing and very over priced. Overall a good restaurant and we would...return.More

Walked past on the viaduct and the menu and setting looked so good had to try it out. Didn’t disappoint! Service was amazing and food even better. Great atmosphere too! Didn’t get a pic of the prawn and crab toast but it was amazing

Had lunch on a busy Friday close to Christmas. No sign of covid here - restaurant was packed with lots of happy people. Our waiter ( Irish I think) was superb - pushed us in the right direction without totally taking control. Food was bright...and interesting and I would definitely come back. Lots of variety in seating so consider when booking.More

Every time we come to Auckland, we plan one evening for Hello Beasty. Our favourite place is at the bar, where you watch the chefs prepare the meals. The menu is Asian fusion, and there is a wide variety available. We are never disappointed, always...try different dishes, and they are full of flavour and so different to the 'normal' dishes, other restaurants offer. We love the atmosphere, it's a very busy place, open for lunch and dinner, and booking is highly recommended. Service is friendly and very helpful. We'll be back, soonMore

First And Only Time Diner. It doesn’t really deserve a three but everything was edible so felt it shouldn’t be as low as a two. Location- 5 stars. Right in the hub of the viaduct. Decor - probably what you’d expect - simple, bar stools...and small tables. The positive is it was very clean and unlike A LOT of restaurants in Auckland especially in prime real estate areas we were pleasantly surprised to find there was ample space between each table. Service - well paced, friendly, no complaints. Drinks - great! Unique! Well Priced! 5 stars So what let it down? Quality and Price of Food. The ‘most popular’ KFC which is fried cauliflower tasted nothing like the vegetable. It really had no taste whatsoever. The Katzo comes in a burger form - we were told all dishes were to be shared but this came with no cutlery to cut it. The burger was mushy and completely underwhelming. This was the same experience for all the food except the lamb cutlets which were standout and delicious. Overall the pricing was absolutely ridiculous. Even if the quality had been amazing the prices are what you’d be paying at fine dining restaurants. I assume they have to price so high due to location. Overall we won’t be returning.More

We were lucky that we booked since it was quite packed when we arrived for dinner. The menu had a few interesting looking items but I was kinda disappointed that they didn't have their cup noodles anymore. We grabbed some dishes to share. We had...a few orders of the Wagyu brisket gua bao and katsu sando so that we had enough for everyone. Both were quite tasty. The chicken in the katsu sando was cooked perfectly as it wasn't dry even though it was breast meat. I also quite liked the stick pork hock bun but was surprised it can as pan fried baos. Although all the dishes we had were really tasty, there were two that were really good, the KFC, Korean Fried Cauliflower, and the prawn and crab toast. The cauliflower was crispy and really tasty. The prawn toast was really crispy and had a really nice flavour. the crab on top make it decadent and then the slices of beef on top was almost like a surf and turf. The desserts were interesting quite interesting. The marshmallow was really nice. I liked the stickiness and lightness of it. The coconut sorbet was interesting, it had the flavour of coconut water so the flavour was a bit more subtle than I was expecting. The doughnuts with the salter caramel were very easy to eat too. It was a really nice place for dinner. The menu is very interesting and there were a few items on there which are worth the trip back for.More

I have become a recognized regular here and I've taken almost all of my friends, clients and family here as it quite frankly is the shining star of restaurants in Auckland in fact in NZ. The service is perfect the food sublime and everyone I...bring here goes again. Be warned...the food is highly addictive 😋..More

while not a great fan of shared plates this restaurant does it very well. We took the wait persons advice and were very pleased with the variety, presentation and quality of the dishes. Desert, not a shared item? rounded out the meal very nicely. excellent...crema on my short black too. meal and drinks were good value for the money. The only drawback that it seems a very noisy spaceMore

Did the $85 chef's favourite dishes outstanding. So tasty, sat up at the chefs bar and watched the action in the hot house. A great team, fantastic food and great service. Well recommended!!
