First - they get our order wrong. My husband’s and son’s meal were delivered and mine was after they had their meal. So I was a bit looking sad drooling while they ate and them twiddling their thumbs while I had mine later.
Second -...as for their prices, it was overpriced as the food is not up to standard. The fish were greasy and tasted like a frozen fish, my husband had to take the fish out of the burger and just ate the sides as he found it disgusting for his taste. As for me it was not anything special to pay $19 for a fish burger and not even a meal!
Lastly, the service was not so good. I have to keep calling out the lady server who was standing in front of us who didn’t bother to check whether we want something. She seemed to keep ignoring us before we were served.
So for me, that was the first and last time I’d go to Shucker Brothers.More
Situated right on the waterfront by the ferry terminal. Shucker Brothers is famous for its Oysters but is a lot more. The fish & chips were excellent and sitting outside watching the ferries coming and going is lovely. The staff are nice, friendly, efficient and...helpful.More
We enjoyed top notch seafood at Shucker Brothers. I highly recommend the freshly shucked oysters, which are amazing. I also highly recommend the Trevally Kokoda which was extremely delicious, delicate and flavoursome. The guys there are also extremely friendly amd welcoming.
The best type of restaurant for us, informal with amazing food! We had the tasting tapas style plates which were all incredibly delicious, including prawns, charred sweet corn, croquettes and octopus. The waiters were all very warm and welcoming. Good drinks selection. Lovely to sit...outside on a warm summers evening.More
Impressed with everything we ordered! We had mussels, calamari, oysters, clams, fish & chips amongst others. I highly recommend their mussels which were oh-so-juicy and plump! The service staff are very helpful and friendly too! Will definitely revisit when in Auckland!
I do not eat a lot of sea food so I was hesitant to have lunch here depending upon what was on the menu. We were waiting for our van to take us to the airport and had a little time to kill so we...thought we would have lunch before our long flight back to the states. We sat outside. The weather was beautiful and it was great to sit and people watch. I had a steak sandwich with thinly cut onion strings on it. It was absolutely delicious. My friends enjoyed their crispy fish sandwich as well. The cocktails were wonderful.More
