I am vegan not so my partner. Appreciate a place that offers all in one so that we can enjoy a lovely dine out! First impression super friendly manager and the extra wow affect of listening to nepalese music wich made me really feel beeing...there. I had the nepalese answer of tacos as a vegan version it was delicious! My partner enjoyed Pork and Fries. We both tried the dessert as well. I had the vegan ricepudding so yummi and my Partner the other one with icecream. We both enjoyed a lot. They also started on a staurday later that night lifemusic. This wasn't nepalese but still awesome to stay a bit longer and listen! Just try it and see for yourself!More

Don't expect fancy surroundings or location. But do expect good Nepalese food and smiling faces. I had the Big Big and didn't manage to finish it but gave it a good try. It is a typical Nepalese set of dishes and all very tasty. give...yourself a change and give this place a try. There are steps down into the inside of the restaurant so may not be good if you have difficulty there.More

What a wonderful surprise to find this place. We never have had Nepalese food, and it was an unforgettable meal. I highly Recommend the steamed and chili Mo Mo. Also have some Nepalese Khukri rum while here. It was a Very relaxed atmosphere with great...Nepali music in background to highlight the culture of the cuisine.More

Found this on Happy Cow but they also have meat and fish dishes. Nepalese curry dishes. Really tasty and healthy. Was too busy the first day we were in Auckland so went back at opening time the next day. Ordered the Vegan mushroom and pea...curry bowl, rotis, Aaloo Tama with black-eyed peas and bamboo shoots and Thukpaa (a soup with bok choy, noodles, tofu and more). Was really tasty so we went back for dinner...all but one of the remaining nights we had available in Auckland so that we could try other dishes and enjoy the soup again. So YES...both my husband and I LOVED this place. I highly recommend it. Owned by two partners (one is the chef) from Nepal so it has both an Indian and Chinese influence. So good and highly unique.More

Food is just okay. Nothing you will remember for a long time. Will not go back again just because it’s not worth the price you pay. I mean $9 for a mango lassi is just outrageous.

Fantastic meal and service. The Baji Set and Ne-Thali Set are totally worth trying and would recommend the chicken nibbles to start - they are actually are really spicy which I loved. The service was amazing, can't fault it at all, and can't wait to...try more of their dishes.More

Had a really nice meal here during our last night in Auckland. We did a bit of a progressive dinner and were really lucky to stumble upon TAMA for a fantastic Nepalese meal. Don’t be alarmed by the professional pictures - the food is real,...tasty and not overly expensive! We had an order of dumplings (pan fried were delicious!) and an order of veggie curry with roti. Topped off with a generous glass of wine and a cold Japanese beer, our tab was just over $50 NZ. Enjoy this great spot just off of K Road!More

My partner and I went here with a First table booking, so I mean everything is better when its half price. We ordered the vege momo to start, they were beautiful, I could easily have eaten 4 plates of these as my main. We seemed...to wait a little longer than expected to get our main order taken, considering there was only one other table in the restaurant. Together we tried a good sample of the meat and vegetarian dishes, they were tasty and very filling, although did seem to take a little long. The restaurant is nice and quirky, although there were some very odd music choices, almost like horror movie soundtracks at one point, so I'm really not sure what that was about. Overall good experience, I would book through First Table again.More

Went on a deal. So wasn’t expecting the earth. The service was very average and the food wasn’t hot. Wine tasted bad. Would not recommend.
