Calzone was very good and tasty!
The staff was friendly, making our dinner even more welcoming. The restaurant had delightful warm lighting and a big indoor pizza oven that added to the cozy atmosphere.

There are only two reasons, both minor, why I didn’t give this five stars. One; it was really noisy when full, and it was really full. It also got very hot at tables from half way back. It is summer after all. The other thing is that on the wine list, in the ‘by the glass’ column, the Prosecco wasn’t a glass. It was a 185ml bottle. Perhaps the $15.00 price tag should have been a hint. But to be fair the Chardonnay was $12.50, and the red was 11.50, so........The garlic bread starter comes in small medium or large. The large $11.50 would suit a table of six - it was too much for three. Garlic prawn entree $19.50 with six large prawns, would do for a modest main. The scaloppini a la marsala $31.50 was delicious, and the accompanying vegetables were cooked to perfection. Desserts were $13.50 each. This place is very popular for good reason. Booking essential.

Every time my partner and I go to this restaurant we have a great time. Great environment, the staff makes us feel home and the food is always delicious with fair portions. We have already tried a few of the options from the menu and we’re always looking forward to go back for our next experience.
Todas as vezes que fomos à este restaurante tivemos uma agradável refeição. Ótimo ambiente, a equipe nos faz sentir em casa e a comida é sempre deliciosa com porções generosas. Já provamos alguns itens do cardápio e sempre estamos prontos para voltar para nossa próxima experiência.

Looking for an Italian restaurant in Auckland, came across Da Sette Soldi.
Being a little late on a Saturday evening we thought we would give it a try.
On entering the restaurant the food smelt good, if a little different from other Italian restaurants we had dined in, and the menu looked OK.
Finding they had Porchetta (one of my favourites) on the menu I thought I was home.
When the meals arrived they just didn't look right.
The pasta dish was heavy and gluggy, and the pork should not have been called Porchetta.
It was a cut of pork roll on a little mash and a lot of packet peas. Any semblance to an Italian dish ended with the name.
While the owners of the restaurant (who were Indian as was the chef) were mildly apologetic and asked how a porchetta should taste, the experience was not that I want to repeat in a hurry.
The moral of this story is that Italians can't really cook curry, Indians can't really cook Italian food. Similarly the British struggle with French food, and the French do their own cuisine better than anyone.
Sadly this experience as not La Dolce Bella.

A cosy restaurant on a busy road that excels in its friendly staff who collectively smile and greet everyone who enters. The place was humming with activity. Thankfully we had advance booked a table. The cocktails were a fun start along with the olives and antipasto. The medium rare scotch beef steak with mushroom sauce was well presented with roast veges. But it was the taste sensation of the peppered steak that certainly satisfied this hungry tribe, with praiseworthy comments between bites. We savoured this meal on the palate, mixed with some dark beers as we chatted future family travel plans. It wasn’t long before we explored the range of delightful desserts and made our picks of the sweet selection.

A last minute change of plan meant we were in the area and feeling hungry. The restaurant accommodated us, despite being very busy. Lovely choice of Italian cuisine and very willing to modify ingredients to cater for dietary requirements
Nice selection of Italian wines too, coupled with a vibrant atmosphere, contributed to a positive experience. Many thanks 😊

We had planned a birthday dinner here before lockdown version 2! Decided to order pick-up instead and were thrilled with the quality and presentation. Missed the great service and atmosphere but the food was awesome. Made for a great birthday dinner enjoyed at home with a bottle of wine. Definitely a way to make lockdown special.

Great place for dine in. Been here few times and never disappointed. Staff is always amazing even though they are busy.
Do yourself favour, always call them before you come as most of the time tables are not available.

Nipped in here and was lucky to get a table. It was buzzing. Ordered the Cannelloni and a side salad. It was the best I’ve ever tasted! Also it had a great atmosphere and brilliant service. What a nice change to get everything right and just enjoy the experience of the food and the mood. Fabulous! Thoroughly recommended. I’ll be back!

second time dining here place was rammed but service was pretty good tasty entrees nice mains good selection just a solid non pretentious Italian with Italians cooking it
