Conveniently located in Hunter Street, Salamanca. Lots of atmosphere - feels like you are inside an old sailing ship. Service was good. Food was fantastic. Barramundi was amazing - very fresh and cooked perfectly. Desserts are mouthwatering and a good size. Probably best to book...More

The food and service are excellent, however the elbow room is a bit limited, but the interior decor is well worth it!

I guess it has lots of fame but taste wasn't come up with the name. Salad was not even washed one but dried and amount was shocking. We have ordered 4 main dishes for 4 people but wasn't enough. But it was good experience for...More

We came here for the chowder - oh god what a mess. We’d read some reviews prior to our visit, 50% good and 50% bad. What a shame we’re joining those voting this chowder terrible. Yes, it was gloopy and the seafood had shrunk into...More

We had a very happy dinner at tge Drunken Admiral with scrumptious seafood and reasonable drink prices. The old English pub atmosphere only adds to the excellent and friendly service. Thoroughly recommended.

Had dinner here a few nights ago. Service was good and welcoming, but rushed as they were busy. Food was ok but small serves for the prices charged. Overall not bad, not great.

Unique restaurant for fun night. Food was great but tables packed close together, worth a visit, try the hot plate seafood.

One of Hobart's iconic restaurants and is popular with both locals and visitors to Hobart alike. We are a family run restaurant and we have been operating since 1979 offering the diner a truly unique experience and very fresh and tasty Tassie seafood and meals. The restaurant is world renowned, features in many global travel guides and is always popular – so reservations are advised! Open 7 days a week with parking out front.
