Blown away with the food! A melting pot for foodies like us. I had the lamb shank with sweet potato mashed it was beautifully plated, tender, flavorful and worth every penny, yummm. My husband had a goat curry and he said it was devine. Service wise, spotless! We’ll definitely coming back!

Staff welcomed us with warm smiles and couldn't do enough for us. we went for dinner on Father's Day and Restaurant was almost full. i had the Sri Lankan curry and my wife had Steak , for the size of the portion it is well worth the price.highly recommend to try the Spice Garden.

I’ve eaten here and enjoyed it on many occasions over the past few years but oh wow, the quality of the food is exceedingly underwhelming. I ordered a goat curry. Well I regret it. If Sri Lankan blend of spices us the same as a few fatty pieces of goat swimming in brown gravy soup is what they want to serve, I’m never going there again. I was insulted. Someone else in our group ordered it also and was exceedingly disturbed. In fact, in the amount of time it took them to bring out this precooked then microwaved curry excuse, I could have gone to one of the other Sri Lankan restaurants in Darwin city or Winnellie and eaten and returned. Must admit - the prices were reasonable if the food had even been good but yeah, if you can cook better yourself at home (& not even identify as a Sri Lankan) then that’s pretty sad (or good if you chose to stay home). Big thumbs done. Need to lift their game.

Spice Garden have been making amazing Sri Lanka food for years and it is one of our favourites. When the parents recently visited town we thought we would take them along for some Sri Lanka food and learnt they have expanded their menu to now include a grill. Much to my surprise my father ordered the fish (not from the Sri Lankan part of the menu) and then reported it was the "best fish the had eaten in Darwin" and he comes up every year.
The hardest bit is deciding what to have now that the menu has grown. Great food and we will be back soon.

As you step your foot into the restaurant, you are welcomed by the friendly smiling staff, the energy in the restaurant is pleasant. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouth-watering starters followed by the main course, specially designed for youngsters and adults. All the cuisines were fresh and refreshing with the steak grilled to perfection. The restaurant also offers various types of drinks, they serve some of the best cocktails in the region. Defiantly value for money and I will be a returning customer.

Three friends dining. Really enjoyed the cocktails. Table service took a long time. I noticed people who were seated after us had orders taken before us. We waited almost an hour from being seated to having our meal. I didn't mind the wait but the fact my meal arrived cold as in the steak was cold and half the fries were cold. I was not asked if I enjoyed my meal - if so I would have given feedback. The menu overall seems confused. It is a Sri Lankan restaurant that serves steak and lamb shanks? We probably won't return.

Got some takeaways. The chicken curry was a bit average. Very small pieces of chicken in a gravy that seemed very unbalanced. Also had the eggplant curry. While this was nice, the portion size, and the same goes for the chicken was pretty small for the price you pay.

We have eaten in a couple of times and also had a takeaway. Tucked away behind the Nightcliff Market area, there’s a nice cosy atmosphere and friendly service. Very tasty food; we had a potato curry and a chilli paneer dish, plus rice, dhal and naan. Not a huge vegetarian selection but very nicely spiced. Service, however, is slooow, and frustrating. We ordered a mango cocktail but cancelled once we’d waited 15 minutes. Food takes along time to arrive.

Tried srilankan aussie for the first time on a Sunday night and we ordered arrancini, prawns, clalamari. it was very tasy and presented aswell. In mains i had scotch fillet with sweet potato mash, steak was cooked perfectly and juicy. i cannot forget the dessert i cannot explain how good it was. Highly recommend and will definitely be back again!

I hadn't been here for a few years but recalled it was great back then. After tonight's meal I won't return. Steak was cooked well but all 3 entrees were disappointing, Dahl varda dense, dry and lacking flavour, paneer bites squeaked against your teeth (pretty sure it was packaged supermarket stuff not made in house), lamb bao could have saved the day but it drowned in mayo. On a brighter note the service was great and Spice Garden Special cocktails are to die for

Had a date night last weekend. Every dish that came out was incredible and full of flavour. There are also plenty of vegan/vegetarian options on the menu which was surprising good for my husband who is a vegan and a picky eater.

Very varied menu, we had the butter chicken and the lamb curry, with Sri Lankin fried rice and roti. Great flavours and two curries and rice filled three hungry people. Prices are good too. Great service from friendly staff

The best Sri Lankan restaurant in Darwin. Just as the name implies the curries are full of spices and had that authentic Sri Lankan flavours in them 😍 Have been to this place few times and never failed to amaze us with scrumptious food. Highly recommended 👍🏻

I have been visiting spice garden for the delicious sri lankan buffet they have on Wednesdays. The food has a impeccable taste and the variety of items were very sufficient. The deserts also has a good variety. Love the woodapple gelato and the avocado ice cream. What a treat.
