Always a great choice of ales in barrell and lively festival weekends. Not eaten here yet, but good reports

Super country pub with excellent food. My only quibble was, it was our first visit, and the person that took us to our table did not tell us that we had to order at the bar ( not very convenient ) or that the menu...More

We do try other places, but always end up coming back here. Good food, at good prices, and an excellent beer selection: At least seven or eight ales from local brewery's. There are two gardens, for when the climate allows: The lower one has a...More

First rate service. An extensive menu at reasonable prices. A very quirky building which seems to be very popular. The food is exceptional and some excellent beers. We will definitely be visiting again.

We have not eaten at the Halfway for a few months, steaks were excellent, fish cooked to perfection, service with the usual smiles. Glad we booked an early slot because they were very, very busy.

Lovely pub with extensive, top quality, menu and range of real ales and ciders. My lunchtime visit ‘hit the spot’! A fine pint of cider and a great cheese ploughman’s - real cheese and real breads! What’s not to like about this ‘hidden gem’ of...More
