We ordered various seafood but it was of very poor quality and taste, especially regarding the high prices. Also, the waitress wasn't friendly at all, we had the impression that we weren't at all welcomed. The rest of the staff was very nice and friendly. I don't have an opinion regarding any fish plates or lobster spaghetti.

What a great view and stunning position. We enjoyed fresh grilled fish and shared a superb mixed seafood platter. The grilled octopus was tasty too. Special mention to our fantastic waitress for her friendly and efficient service. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our meal in Mavros Peiratis. The staff was kind , however they did not wear masks. The food was pretty good. We ate octopus, fresh fish, squid. The smoked tsiros was very tasteful as well as the fresh fish. The children of the family decided that the octopys was hard. The location is nice over the sea. At the end they offer water melon. Pet friendly as well

Where do I start, we tried to ask for a fish platter or selection of fish and were told they don’t do that. We were then taken to the fish counter and the waitress talked us in to having four prawns for €30 and a small fish for €49. We thought it might be worth the expense if it came with sides. However we got a fish with nothing else. It was awful. The wasps also did not help. The following night we went to the next door grill and got an amazing meal for €35 instead of the €120 the ‘pirates’ charged us!!!! Avoid at all costs!!!

We visited this fish restaurant for a family meal. We ordered fish which came badly grilled and uncleaned inside to the extent it was inedible. When we enquired about it and said we couldn’t eat it, we were told that this is how they cook fish, they first grill them and then they clean them inside (!) which is unheard of…the flesh was stuck to the fishbone and when attempted to remove it, it came into pieces, a tell tell sign of a fish which isn’t fresh. We also ordered grilled octopus which was served plain with half a lemon on the side, it looked quite sad... A bit of olive oil would have made a difference.

Very, fresh fish for sale, but I believe that some customers would be scared by still seeing fish alive and slowly dying. What I absolutely did not like is the menu, very childish way of presenting your dishes with pictures, normally this would be a reason to skip the place. Which would have been a pity since the food was really good and the local wines too. There was an extensive reasonable priced Greek wine list, covering mostly North Greek wines, while there are excellent local wines too.

Huge contrast with the usual Greek welcome. Rude waitress from the moment we ordered. Expensive dishes overcharged 4 slices of bread €3 bottle of water placed on table not ordered and unopened charged €2. Not worth the stop despite the bunch of grapes offered

Rip-off. You are given bread and water that you didn't order. This is done all the time in Greece - but no one has ever wanted 8 euros for it. Cheeky. Torture. Lobsters are displayed in a small, filled wooden boat. They are missing claws, legs and feelers. When you see how these animals are 'stirred around' with a landing net for display and then thrown back, you understand why. Quality The fish was overcooked, tough and dry - despite its high price for Greece and Germany.

A visit to this region would be incomplete without a lunch at the Black Pirate. Yet again wonderful seafood. The fried octopus is so tender it cuts with a spoon. Grilled sardines so tasty too. Fabulous location, great service.

Chose to have the last dinner here. Worst choice ever. French fries without salt, olives with no taste, house white wine very bad. Shrimps were normal/low quality, we ordered tuna with mushroom and it arrived a pasta with tuna. We did not pay it. They finally offered watermelon with four plates and forks. Unfortunately we were five. Maybe the mistake was because one seat was never clear away from the dinner. Very very costly. We suggest to avoid this place!

We had dinner by the sea with the family, simple location, friendly welcome, even though we hadn't booked they assigned us a table "front of the sea" it must have been luck, but also perspicacity in understanding which made us very happy! We order three appetizers, three serving dishes and then on the finsle, watermelon on offer! Excellent quality of food, special mention for the marinated anchovies and fried prawns, I think among the best I have tasted so far. Good quality/price ratio (€98.50 for 3 including an excellent bottle of wine from the Mantineia winery) Advised!

This is very good fish taverna with excellent location. Spagety lobester was good, shrimps a dn saganaki shrimps as well. Startes as you expext in Grece. Wine gets better an better in Grece, so was chosen one here. The only drawback was that we were told that no portion fish was available while we noticed while leaving that fish was offered to locals. Final remark: we were slightly affraid reading some previous reviews here, about the bill. It is not cheap, but far from being overpriced.

Amazing tavern by the sea with table towels fabric and not plastic. Of fish only fresh, even the pumpkins were alive. We went to three people and we took a champagne pelagium 1.2 kgr, one village, fresh potatoes, tjaziki, peppers with cheesecake filling, (not burning, mostly with cheese salad looked but it was delicious), fresh fried calamarians, octopod sliced in coals with oil and vinegar that you put yourself, steak baked in coals with olive oil, chips, beer, soft drinks and bottled water. Wonderful all baked and cooked. Mr. Nikos was a very nice man as everyone and all of us served. It has definitely become the fish tavern of our choice. Thank you very much.

I visit 2 or 3 times in the summer in Limeni and always eat fish in Takis in the pirate and in Porto Cayo in Maria. This has left me completely satisfied with what I have eaten , the service and the location . Its prices are excellent for what it offers. Recommend
