Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had breakfast at The Gallery 3 days in a row because it’s just good and not expensive. Super real prices and great omelet as well, add a filter coffee and you have a great start of your day.

The place is simple and local. I went there for maybe 4 to 5 times. The food tastes good and is good value for money. I would totally recommend their homemade Roselle tea with ginger and honey! It is very soothing and warm especially after...some water activities. (You can also buy their Roselle at the shop inside the restaurant. I bought some for friends and family after trying the tea.) (They have some vegan options.)More

The place looks very simple from the outside but you will find a lot of suggestions to eat(for vegan too). One of the best option money for value in the area, you eat well and good quantity. The breakfast are excellent and the lunch' options...too with very good homemade French fries (from a Belgian point of view!)More

Plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians. It’s nothing to write home about but it is definitely a good meal. The staff are nice and there is cute gift wares for sale. The art was impressive. Unfortunately the wine was acidic and not very good....Definitely recommend the Tempe burger, the bread was delicious.More

The Gallery has very good vegetarian and vegan options, you must try the tempe burger or the pumpkin curry or the stir fried vegetables. It's a place that was founded by Mike, the first foreigner ver to come to settle in Penida, and he did...a lot for the community (teaching English, helping them to get over a very dry season, developing the eco-gardening,...). Mike passed away a year and a half ago but it's memory is still alive. You can also buy coconut oil, soaps and rosella there, all produced on the island, and support the local community in their efforts to keep Penida green and sustainable.More

A cute family run restaurant, only a few tables and chairs. Menu is basic but the vegan options are very tasty. Would recommend the Tempe burger and the pumpkin and coconut curry! It's quite a chilled place and usually only 1 lady so you need...to just go up and order with herMore

I enjoyed going here for breakfast each morning. The cheese toasties were nice. The best thing was they even had English black tea, a nice treat for me! There is also a little gift shop.

At the first glance, you can't tell where the restaurant. The kitchen is actually inside the shop. We were gladly surprised by the cuisine. It was amazingly good. We've ordered the pumpkin curry, fried chicken, pasta. All very tasty! One of the best we've eaten...among the 3 island. However, it's a family restaurant, they will take time to cook if it's crowded. Anyway, I recommend and will come back for sure.More

My husband and I came here for dinner. At first we couldn't find anyone working there, so we just sat down and looked at the menu. When we wanted to order we had to seek out the woman working there. The food that we had...was good, but not memorable. There are better restaurants nearby that I preferred. However, there is a cute shop at Gallery that sells nice soaps, bamboo straws, and other gift items at good prices.More

I live in a country where it's rare to find vegetarian food, let alone tempeh! I was so excited to try the burger and literally devoured every last bite! It went down extra swell, with a nice glass of well priced vino. The little shop...offers some great gifts to grab. The rosella tea is fantastic and the coconut oil works great to untangle your hair after a day in the sea.More

The coffe and the pancake was great. There is also a shop for local gifts for a good price. A good idea to hang out and read a book.

This restaurant is one of my favorites on the island. The setting is very basic but the food is delicious. My favorites are the vegetable curry and the tempe burger. This place is vegan-friendly and the owner is helping the local community via his shop...and the food in his restaurant. Try the cold rosella tea (without honey for vegans).More
