Absolutely amazing! Compliments to the chef and owner.

Let me preface this review by saying I am an accomplished chef of over 2 decades. For a small town like Cooks beach to offer such a dining experience is fabulous. I have had the pleasure of eating some of the best food from around...the world and was blown away by the menu in this little restaurant and it is literally one of the top dining experiences I have ever had. The wine and cocktail list was excellent, the staff very knowledgeable and the food exceptional and completely exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to visit my family in Cooks to dine there again.More

Highly recommend…

We came here on a Sunday night as we’d just arrived in Cook’s Beach. What a find!! The menu is made up of sharing plates, which is the restaurants philosophy. Unlike other restaurants that have small and large sharing plates, these plates are all the...same size. The food was absolutely delicious, with the flavours very innovative. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the next night. A good wine list and extensive drinks menu.More

Amazing taster menu

Have just had a lovely meal Here . Had the 5 course taster menu . The flavours and presentation were very good . Have been in NZ a week and this was our best meal So far .

Unique in the area and nice ambiance

We booked through the client friendly system only a few hours before we actually went. The restaurant has a very nice interior and we were welcomed friendly. Although short staffed (as all restaurants are these days) we did not have to wait long for our...orders. We chose the surprise menu with 5 courses. Taste was great and also the presentation of the food was lovely! Very unique because we could only find burger restaurants for this budget To conclude: we had a wonderful evening for a good price.More

Lovely evening

My husband I had a really delicious meal tonight at Kaizen at Go Vino seated out in the courtyard. Our food was very tasty and really friendly wait staff. Thanks so much, we will certainly be back.

Top notch

Amazing tapas food amazing for sharing. We are always happy to take visitors here as the quality of food is five stars and better than most big city offerings. Ryan and the staff are very accommodating

Great dining

We had a wonderful meal at Go Vino. They have a tapas type menu, but also have a good choice of a few mains should you not want to go down the tapas route. We started with the most heavenly cheese brulee. We both enjoyed...our mains and desserts were great. Definitely advise booking.More

A pleasant surprise

We didn’t read any description of the restaurant before we came and we were very pleasantly surprised. Our group of three included two non-meat eaters so we chose the vegetarian and seafood options. They were all very nice. An eclectic mix of flavours. I’d happily...return to try some of the other dishes. The staff were friendly and attentive.More

Go Vino has a high undeserved rating. Based on the trip advisor we went there for a meal. Overpriced tapes meal which isn't even tapes. It 8s just quarter meals with poor tas.the chef has obvious no idea what he/she is doing. I wouldn't take my worse enemies there for a meal there. For instance the Orange duck, was not duck with an orange source, it waa just orange without any duck tasre. I can go in for hours, it is just pretentious cheap restaurant to be avoided. The service were only interested in friends, very rude to overseas tourist and when I approached the manager as local, for some well meanted advise, not interested at all. I would say spend your money elsewhere.

As a local I have been here loads of times year after year since it opened (I have no relationship or friendship or gain here). Never have I EVER seen them be rude. The food is consistently very good. The locals keep coming... More
