Called in for a coffee early in our trip. Coffee was quite ok, Allpress takeaway cups so presuming that was the bean they used. Had some friends who went after me and were treated rudely by the person managing it. They also told me a...story about a worse experience for the person in front of them in the queue. We called back for a coffee couple of days later and machine was turned off just after lunch. I don’t understand the logic as to why a pub/restaurant would turn the machine off. What happens if you want a coffee after your lunch which is common.. Mifted by this… Coffee was ok so call if you must but I wouldn’t expect to be welcomed in.More

Popped in for a bite to eat on Friday night. Unfortunately experienced firstly no service and then rude service. Telling your patrons “your under the pump” and that you will get to them when you can without an apology. We would have thought being busy...was what they wanted! Poor wine selection and average food. Pizza was very average. We won’t be back!More

This is located in the heart of the shops at Cooks Beach, with outside tables to enjoy the good weather. Looks like it would normally have good food, just unfortunate for me I chose the calamari which was so spicy I could not eat it....I did tell waitress, who said she would tell the chef. Wooden bench seats can be hard after a while, probably best to select different seating options. Toilets were a little confusing over which to use.More

Called in for lunch while exploring Cooks Beach by bike on Saturday. Enjoyed a pint and shared a Vessel pizza which was large and very tasty. Friendly and efficient waitress and drinks and pizza arrived promptly even though they were fairly busy. Lots of courtyard...seating as well as inside. Will return next time we visit The area.More

Table service was painfully slow, even though the restaurant was not overly busy. We waited 15 minutes before menus and water were supplied. Looking at other tables there also seemed to be frustrated diners with slow and incorrect orders. Disappointing start, as the pizzas were...very good - a real variety on the menu - ours certainly were eaten very quickly with all round agreement they were some of the best eaten in recent years. Maybe some wait staff were new or the place was understaffed - would certainly recommend a visit.More

We really enjoyed our evening at The Vessel. The wine choices were interesting and advice from really friendly staff was bang on. Our pizza was amazing! The base was so good, and the toppings tasty and generous. Loved the outdoor type setting with an interesting...building housing the bar and kitchen. We will be back!More

A nice surrounding & the food is fairly simple and reasonably tasty. We had the mussels & Angus burger. We expected more than 6 mussels for $17 though and the Angus burger was nice but quite small for $25. The serving of chips was a...similar size to what you get at McDonalds, so went away feeling still a little hungry.More

The pizza was quite nice, but we were disappointed after days of travelling that there weren't any vegetables available as a side (only expensive mains). They were unable to offer anything like that when asked. It was a Saturday night and the live music was...too loud. Nothing amazing but not bad either. They offer takeaway pizzas too, if we'd arrived at Cooks Beach earlier we would have done that instead and sorted out own salad.More

Shared a 'Vessel' pizza for lunch which was delicious - the best I have tasted in a long time. They weren't very busy so our drinks and food arrived promptly. Friendly staff and a great outdoor seating area.
