So impressed with this cafe and the service. We were a party of around 30 people who stopped at this cafe for lunch without any prior notice. We were welcomed and told that there may be a delay because of the numbers which we expected. However we were amazed that the meals and drinks arrived within 10mins of each couple ordering. The service was the best I have experienced in a long time. The coffees and other drinks were served first with the food following immediately after. We all got exactly what we ordered and every meal looked good and tasted delicious. Always a good sign when there are no empty plates. There is plenty of space and tables inside and out in the courtyard. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and the coffee was good which is important to me. Definitely worth stopping at if you are in the area.

We visited this cafe for the second time. The service starting with ordering at table was very slow in supplying menus, food and drinks. The annex had towels over the floor to catch the leaks. While my pasta was very good the smoothie was substandard.

Went out of our way to find this place for a Sunday lunch. It was quite popular which was a good sign. The food was very well presented but I thought a little in taste. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the coffee. No one asked whether we enjoyed our food... It certainly wasn't a warm day (only 14 deg outside) and I was surprised that none of the heaters were on. Clearly it wasn't just me as I noticed other customers sitting in their coats and rubbing their hands! The tables were clearly numbered but for some reason the staff seemed to struggle with bringing the food to correct table. Kinda odd! I guess I expected more when being charged city prices.

Went here on the 21st of September for a birthday brunch with some family and friends. Coffee was sour, waffles dry and over cooked. Some how eggs Benedict’s and a fish meal comes before kid’s waffles. Waited over 25mins for less then average food.

Marton is off the main trunk routes but the short detour was well worth it. Lovely old style Cafe ( in best way) with good coffee and superb date & orange scones. I had fancied a cheese scone but these had all gone by 10:15 on a Sunday morning so you obviously have to be quick to beat the locals to them! Wouldve had 5* if had made more than one batch of the popular cheese scones. The other food looked good and varied too. Good service with friendly Staff. A great place to chill out in the morning.

Situated just off Main Street is a cafe which used to be an old granery built in 1856 Good to see it is still being utilised and brought back to life. You can understand the sloping floor and old world rustic charm. On entering there are hints of local paintings for sale and knitted tea cosys. Highchairs are available for the wee ones and there is a cosy corner with couch. Shabby chic is decor and seating comfortable and ladies are very hospitable. Ebony coffee with a fudge slice lollie nice treat. I ordered sausage roll which had been microwaved so pastry was soggy and roll flavoursome thankfully there was plum sauce to add flavour. For $5 salad offer though most other cafes it’s free. Their menu I found to be expensive compared to other cafes. However the carrot cake is absolutely delicious and more than single serve.

We enjoyed our Saturday brunch in this unpretentious cafe, located in a character building in the small, rural town of Marton. Good choice of food options are on offer - it took us a while to figure out that there are two different large blackboard menus at different places in the cafe, one featuring brunch options and the other cooked lunch dishes. There were also some very tempting items in the cabinets. We went for the French toast and the hash stack. The latter appealed because it came with a number of vegetables and just the one egg. Prices very much what we are used to in the city, but perhaps quite steep for this part of the world. The food was tasty and well presented; our meals were not too large which suited us well. The coffee was good - good strength and properly hot. The weekend newspaper was available for us to read. Plenty of free parking right outside, and quite a lot of tables inside so you are likely to find one waiting for you, even at busy times.

Great little Cafe, well not so little can probably seat 100. We went in for a late lunch. After 20 mins had to ask how much longer. Husband then received his tasty bagel and I a COLD savory muffin. Then had to go back n ask for it to be heated. It was very nice. They did have a group of 10 to attend to but the cafe was far from full at 1pm. Very nice food very freindy and apologetic staff. Not busy just a bad day.

Plenty to choose from, with one of us gluten free, best gf range in Marton. Food hot and arrived quickly. Very friendly staff too. So for the travelers bypassing Marton as Bulls is the town on the main road, you are missing out on some very nice food.

So my partner and I found this place around 3 years ago and thought very highly of it at the time... The food was good and reasonably priced, the menu was great and the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great....Cut to around 1 & a 1/2 years ago and that all changed...Firstly all the staff seem to be new which wouldn't be an issue if they were all polite and friendly but they are not...The size of the meals are definitely smaller than what they used to be....Paying around $18 for 3 small hashbrowns, 1 small egg, some spinach, mushrooms and sauce is a bit much but the icing on the cake was to get bacon...This is not listed on the menu with it and I am a vegetarian... Even my partner who loves bacon wouldn't have it as it was dry and severely overcooked... I took it back to mention the issue with it and one of the staff was apologetic while the other acted like I was overreacting or a burden for even mentioning it... Previously I had ordered an omelette which was undercooked and got to enjoy raw runny egg in the middle and raw onion... Even my partner's food was overcooked and he didn't eat half of it.... And EVERY time we have gone back hoping they were just having a "bad day" we have been disappointed... The cooks should be taking a pride in their job to cook food and if it's not right don't just send it out, recook it!! And I suspect there has been a management change... I would not recommend going here unless it's just for a snack or a drink... Soo disappointing as this used to be our favourite spot :(

The board menu was much the same as any cafe but appeared more expensive than many I have been to. The food in the glass counter case looked slightly over cooked and a bit dry. We chose the mince and cheese pies which were microwaved before serving, this made the pastry soft. The pie was average. There was confusion with the cost of the meal as beside the pie there was a sign saying$8.50 pie add $5 fries/salad. We took this to mean it was $5 more for a few fries and a bit of salad. We were charged $10 extra for each pie as the sign means $5 for fries and $5 for salad. We thought this expensive as an add on to the pie so declined it. Maybe the sign needs an "each" added to it!

A busy cafe conveniently located in Marton. Food is always of a very high standard as is the coffee. The staff are lovely - a great place to take someone for lunch or coffee and you know it is going to be good. Seating inside and out.
