We love visiting Moomaa, love the art adorned walls and is a nice 30 minute drive away so relatively local. We had a lunch and the inside dining area was pretty full with a table set for eight reserved so great to see. We ordered...eggs bene with ham and scrambled eggs on toasted ciabatta with a side of bacon and two large flat whites. The food was delicious and our meals were delivered relatively promptly which was great but our coffee was terrible and not up to our liking or our last visit memory... We will be back for the food and cabinet food looked great too) but will give coffee a miss next time sadly...More

We have been regulars over the years but the lunch we had on Sat was awful. The Steak Sandwich was very over priced -- the steak was tough & gristly, the caramelised onions were cold on a thin bit of bread with 1 lettuce leaf...& a slice of tomato. The curly fries were warm & greasy. The soup was ok butserved with a thin slice of bread & a sliver ofbutter. Would have been nicer with some hot chunky toast. There was no love given to the meal... very dissappointing.More

This place is fabulous. Rustic barn with fab inside outside layout and decor. Food excellent. I had cherry tom and feta filo tart with sweet chilli relish. My friends also said their choices excellent. Coffee fab, and I'm super fussy. And wow the gift and...home decor products unique, well crafted and well priced. This place is a must go to on way through or if your lucky enough to be local... It's the let's meet at. Ideal for coffee, tea, bfast, bunch and lunch and more. Meet friends, family, kids of just have time out. I would also take the dog for outside seating. I'll be back and I'm telling anyone who will listen.More

Rest stop 15 minutes north from Bulls offers a chance to refuel yourself before long drive north. However closing time is very early afternoon. Outdoor dining area is relaxing overlooking beautiful landscapes. Inside there is a gift store to browse and artwork. Coffee is supreme...and seating is comfortable. We arrived late in day and half menu was off. Ordered curly fries and sorry to say were disappointed.Oil they were cooked in was sickly and the garlic mayo was very thin in texture and tasted horrible.Needless to say it was not eaten. The scones on offer looked like they had been sat upon and overworked. Probably give this place a miss next time passing through.More

A quick stop for coffee and a snack. Cabinet food was a good selection, coffee hot and well made, clean tables, efficient service by friendly staff

Bit slow service..scone was nicely toasted (butter was rock hard though) Nice to see tea leaves being used and not tea bags

After 3 visits, this place did not get any better. Always like to give a place a few chances to make a fair judgement. In fact it got worse each time. Looks good inside and out but the coffee was awful which is surprising when...you see a ‘coffee supreme’ sign. The food portions are very small for the price and the standard was disappointing.More

Great location if your traveling, it has good parking and an outdoor area, but food and coffee is not worth the stop. Have tried this place several times thinking that it may have been a off day the last time we stopped, but it hasn't really...improved.More

We stopped for lunch on our way to Taupo. Decided to get cabinet food as we thought it would be quicker than the menu options. It took 30 minutes for 2 x sausage rolls with salad!! Although it’s a nice place and food good with...4 staff out front and 2 in the kitchen they need to sort their systems. For a start - get decent table numbers on stands so the staff don’t wander aimlessly looking for where to deliver food. #badcustomerexperienceMore

I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience. Our pastries do go out to the kitchen and put in to the oven, but I do apologise for the wait. We have new staff in training and will definitely take your feedback...More

We stopped here on a road trip north. This is a beautifully designed cafe with interesting items and photos to purchase as well as hearty food. There is a good range of cabinet food, excellent scones as well as a menu to choose from. I...would definitely recommend the cheese rolls. They were excellent. We will stop here again.More
