This is our twenty first visit to NZ. Our lunch here was one of the top two or three meals we have ever had in the country. Perfect in every respect. Service food and ambience were exceptional. An the wine list rocks. And we live in Napa so that says something. Wish we could go back tomorrow

This wasn't dinner it was a lifetime memory - the stuff of far higher awards than this but maybe Michelin judges don't get out these parts...perhaps that because after last weeks rains the 4 wheel drive taxi made for an adventure getting past the wash outs on the gravel road. But a journey worth taking...we did the wine matched degustation,... More

We had the Italian Long Lunch on a Sunday with a table of 10 people. A simply wonderful atmosphere, gorgeous rural setting and delicious food. Highly recommended!!

Along a winding track, into the beautiful Waiheke countryside lies this marvel of a winery. Only the weather was under par - everything else was perfect: The sparkling rose was delicious and our New Zealand lamb was as good as I've eaten. A perfect afternoon topped off with a delicious Muscat and a spicy and fragrant panacotta. Definitely worth seeking... More

Really out of the way but worth the trip. Set in the vineyards a delightful restaurant and top class food. We were there in the evening and had the degustation menu. Really excellent and not crazily priced. Really a treat to visit and we will be back!

This is, indeed, a long lunch. They are not joking. We were them from 1230 - 330, sitting amongst a beautiful vineyard on a valley on the southwestern part of Waiheke, eating good food, drinking good wine, and asking ourselves what we did to deserve so much ridiculous pleasure. The long lunch is an investment, but one that is worth... More

I had read plenty of great reviews for this restaurant and was really looking forward to it. We were not disappointed! We were greeted by a lovely staff member who offered us a chance to wander around the garden with a glass of sparkling rose before being seated. It was a beautiful sunny day and this just set the scene... More

It was a wet day but certainly it was worth a visit down the long dirt road where we had lunch. Nice wine and good food and excellent service.

WelcomePoderi Crisci Vineyard and Winery, set in a stunning amphitheatre surrounded by vines and olive trees, has fast become the quintessence of what in Italy is called: Agroturismo. Located 30 minutes from Matiatia in Awaawaroa Bay, Poderi Crisci occupies 7.7 hectares of north-facing slopes in the heart of Waiheke’s unique wine growing microclimate. The narrow rocky strip underlying Poderi Crisci is believed to be 30 million years older than the rest of the Island, boasting soil criss-crossed with mineralised veins. For four generations the Crisci family has been immersed in food and wine, Antonio born and raised in Napoli came to NZ in early 1990 and established Toto Restaurant in Nelson Street . With his partner Vivienne Farnell they opened Non Solo Pizza, an institution in Parnell in 1997 and Bar Vino in 2009.
