Hi I had an amazing meal at Casita Miro. 3 course $79 lunch The bread (amazing) dips/oils/cheese/seafood fabulous. Lamb cooked perfectly and delicious. Dessert disappointing (dry not enough cream) A coffee could be offered at the end. $95 for a bottle of your wine was...over the top considering same bottle $46 (or so) to purchase when paying the bill. Overall fabulous ambience/food//wine. I won’t be back though as it is way too expensive. Booking on line a bit intimidating as can incur cancellation fees. Ainsley Sent from my iPhoneMore

The venue is beautiful and quirky. Some amazing mosaics outside. Sadly we didn't have chance to explore outside. The fiesta vegetarian menu was excellent and the service was good. Taxis aren't cheap though - from Little Oneroa Beach it was just over $60.

Casita is probably one of our favourite spots on the island! The food is absolutely marvellous, coupled with such brilliant staff and hospitality team. We have enjoyed their food, ambience several times and have the privilege of hosting a wedding party there as well! Highly...recommendMore

Wow…totally delicious. Great spot for lunch. An array of tapas followed by fish, lamb and vegetarian main course, all served family style. Terrific wines of course. Cons—service was friendly, yet uneven, we frequently had to call over the wait staff and some items lagged a...long time before others. Inside it is so loud, to be uncomfortable. Sit outside if you can.More

Who would expect a Spanish restaurant down a gravel road out the back on Waiheke? Very eclectic decor with Miro-esque mosaic-tiled garden featues. Very friendly. Loveley sevice. Fixed fiesta menu takes away all the pressure of choosing. Took some newbies who loved the food and...cocktails. Been here many times and always a winner.More

A must do while in the area! Our visit to Casita Miro exceeded our expectations. The 3-course Fiesta luncheon was absolutely delicious and the presentation and venue was photo worthy. Service was knowledgeable, well-paced and friendly. And the wines we enjoyed, just added to the...experience. We especially enjoyed the Madame Rouge as a finishing touch. The restaurant was fully booked and sadly they had to turn people away....so make your reservations early to enjoy this special place.More

As part of a small National Geographic group, we visited Casita Miro on a day trip and it did not disappoint. Before our guided tasting began, we strolled around the lovely (Barcelona/Miro inspired) grounds until we arrived at the stunning, open air structure that houses...the small plates and tasting location. Our personable tasting guide kept us educated and laughing while she alternated between tables. Food was not part of our time there, but we observed others enjoying light plates under a brilliant sunny sky. Post tasting, we wandered higher on the hill allowing us a view that was so very serene as to evoke a French or Catalan hillside. A wonderful start to our time on Waiheke!More

We decided on the set menu $79.00 per person and it was awesome. Every tapa was cooked/served to perfection. The taste of the Mediterranean was great with their home grown Olive oil, deffintly will come again

We had a delicious dinner in this charming restaurant nestled in a vineyard with beautiful views. We had a fabulous time catching up with friends in a lovely relaxed setting with great service from a very nice Scottish waitress (from Glasgow, not Edinburgh). The only...shame is that the restaurant closed at 9-ish, but they did stay open a bit longer (thank you for doing that). We’d have happily stayed a lot longer. They do say leave on a high.More

I think it is great for both - yes, you get the vineyard and garden views during the day time but the restaurant and gardens are beautifully lit and if you arrive early evening you will get the best of both worlds.
