We stopped here for lunch. The tapas were excellent, with both grown-ups and kids well catered for. The service was functional. We were very disappointed to be overcharged for a bottle of wine. It was a only a few dollars but that’s not the point....More

The others on the tour commented that it was odd that I was placed all alone on a single table away from the rest, I must agree. The paella for lunch was not better than average and the wine, a Shiraz blend, was slightly above...More

This was our favourite of all the winery’s visited. Staff were very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour so made it a fun visit. Very pretty setting with a great restaurant on site serving tapas dishes. A really nice afternoon out.

We decided to have the $75 set menu for lunch. It was really good value, in our opinions. Gazpacho, a selection of tapas,a main of paella, beef cheek, salad and a piece of orange cake to finish. The paella was delicious, with generous servings of...More

Did a brief tasting here as a part of the Taste of Wahiheke tour from Fullers. Definitely the best stop on the tour by far. The estate itself is beautiful. The area we were shown to is covered with mosaic designs, apparently all hand done....More

A group of nine of us recently has drinks and tapas. Fabulous service, beautiful food, quirky setting and intriguing mosaics....I'd say for vineyard picks on the island, this would be one of the more interesting and aesthetically pleasing. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Amazing service and food, my wife and I popped in on a Saturday morning for lunch. We had our small dog with us and they happily said we could pop her under a Olive tree in the grove and shade. Our waitress without asking filled...More

We couldn’t get a reservation for New Year’s Eve, so we got one for lunch on the first. Great food and wine in a birds nest of a restaurant perched at the top of the vineyards. We loved it.

We pre-booked a table for 6. Food was great: fish, ribs, pork belly, breads and dips just perfect. Service was first class. Have the churros to end with & prebook a table beforehand as it's busy, and don't eat anything beforehand

They had a la carte mains but tapas style allows you to experience and share - it was 2 months since I visited but I still rate the croquettes

I think it is great for both - yes, you get the vineyard and garden views during the day time but the restaurant and gardens are beautifully lit and if you arrive early evening you will get the best of both worlds.

The restaurant was judged Auckland's Best Rural Restaurant in the 2011 Audi-Metro restaurant awards and it was second place in 2012, and has been a runner up or finalist every year since. It is a very highly ranked Casual Bistro, and the proprietor, Cat Vosper was judged Auckland's Restaurant Personality of the Year for 2011. Casita Miro serves an eclectic mix of Spanish tapas and Moroccan food, using fresh local and New Zealand produce. Even the fish is caught in the sea within a few kilometres of the restaurant. Chef Cristian Hossack has cooked in the a Michelin starred restaurant in the UK, as well as at top class New Zealand restaurants. The owner/manager is Cat Vosper, and the winemaker / mosaicist is Dr Barnett Bond. They are married with three children, one of whom works in the restaurant.
