We had to sit outside due to a large booking inside, the staff payed no attension to us out there, they supposed to have a bar but no one new how to mix drinks, some sort of heating outside would have been nice, only two of us ended up eating as we thought it was pretty bad service.

Beautiful location & excellent freshly cooked food. We had the ribs which were so tender & delicious. The fish & chips were as good as any we'd had in NZ.

we were impressed with the welcome and finding Welsh spoken in New Zealand was an added bonus. the menu is adventurous and we had a lovely snack lunch with local ginger beer and thoroughly enjoyed it. You can't go wrong here, the owners Luke and Helen always have a smile on their faces and know what good hospitality is. Fair prices, good cafe food, coffee is hit and miss, burnt some days, ok others. Fab ambiance, looking forward to summer and thirsty thursdays :-))

The food is great, atmosphere and views good and the people are so warm- definately going there again. We went to the cafe by the bus stop the first day (beachfront cafe) as we did not know this place existed. Had average food and average menu at the other place with shocking service from the female manager on duty. Would... More

We just popped into this place for a quick meal. Value wise excellent and like wise the food. Had a two mains, one entry and bottle of wine for under $100 ($96 in fact) Fantastic view when you're sitting outside. Quick service and friendly.

Dined here on 2 occasions in the evening good menu also with specials. Eye fillet steak just melted in your mouth washed down with a good red wine. Outside seating overlooking Onetangi beach. Watch the world go by and the sun go down. Helen was an excellent host.
