After about our tenth meal here, we joked that" tu cocina es mi cocina" because their kitchen HAD become my kitchen. The prices are so reasonable and the food so delicious, we ate here more than we prepared food at our place. Three times a day I got to see, firsthand, that their attention to detail and their ability to deliver a good meal are top-shelf. These people care about your dining experience and they have the food and staff to back that Care up! I'd eat here for breakfast (the omelettes are divine and hearty and the Moletta, I think it was called - was muy muy delicioso.) The fish tacos will totally blow the wind up your skirt, if you're into really fresh caught fish and all the dinner offerings are good enough to write home about. PS: DO try that some of that really dark hot sauce they put on every table. It's got more personality than you might be used to... you can thank me later.

We ate here last night and was very pleasantly surprised. There always seemed to be people here so we thought they must have something good going on. The burrito with fries was very tasty and a nice serving size, 165 pesos. My wife had the fajita and it was equally tasty. The fajita serving size was large and I had to come to her rescue to finish it. Service was exceptional, the server checked on us often to ensure everything was good. I would certainly eat here again.

What a great little place - we loved it! The shrimp fajitas were wonderful - came with guacamole and chili with beans on the side. The coconut shrimp was amazing, too. That came with sauteed veggies, perfectly prepared crisp and fresh, and creamy rice. And you can't beat the prices - good service, too! Will definitely come back here!

They told us when we arrived the kitchen was slow and it would be at least 30 minutes for food. Okay. Drinks came and were good. Waiter suggested we order guacamole and chips as appetizer as anything else would take too long. Okay fine. After 40 minutes we asked about the guac and chips and he brought it. So clearly he forgotten? another wait. After 75 minutes we flagged down the waiter to ask about entrées. (Yes we should have asked earlier but never could get the waiter's attention.) 3 of 4 entrées came 5 minutes after we asked. The 4th "in 5 minutes". He told us that 3 times. So after 90 minutes we only had 3 entrées. We canceled the 4th, ate quickly and left. I know the place of Mexico is slower than the US. We have been here 2 weeks and this was the slowest I've seen. If we hadn't asked about our food I'm sure we would have waited even longer.

So, first off, the furniture in this place is horrible…it’s old wood chairs with no cushions. It’s extremely uncomfortable. And, the restaurant itself is very uncomfortable…it’s extremely hot everywhere…they need fans to move some air. As for the service, I was able to order 2 beers within two hours. My wife ordered a glass of wine and the waiter told her to order a bottle because it would only be 390 pesos….But! When he brought the bill, he rang it in as 420 pesos…we had him correct the bill…Now, as for the food, we ordered 2 “beef” burgers..if you order beef in town..I.e. steak…it looks like beef…these burgers closely resembled turkey burgers….We asked if they were beef and were assured they were…I’ll let the picture speak for itself. And finally, the exchange rate is currently 20.00 per…a lot of restaurants are currently at the 18 - 19 per. This restaurants exchange rate is 17 peso per dollar…Significantly lower then the market.

Nice ambience and music. Food and drinks were average. $10 for a small margarita, $5 for a small glass of wine. They accept dollars but at a very reduced exchange rate: 17 pesos to the dollar when the official rate is 20!! Ice cream is great, coffee drink is ok. Would not recommend.

Great locally brewed ale. The mahimahi was amazing. We had the homemade pies for dessert and they were very tasty. The staff were very nice and helpful - they spoke very good english which was helpful as our Spanish isn’t the best ! One of the group is vegetarian and although it isn’t obvious on the menu, the waiters were very helpful in recommending vege options. They couldn’t have done more to accommodate us !!

Only had happy hour here but it was fantastic. The margaritas were tasty and fresh, the food was really delicious. Try the fried shrimp and fish tacos, Al Pastor tacos and the ceviche. Service was friendly. I have nothing bad to say about this place. I wish we were in town longer to visit La Choza again.

La Chorza is off the main street one block and was such a nice experience. We were able to get a table during this busy season easily. The food was excellent - we had Mexican favorites of a Burrito and Fajitas. The fajitas came with amazing homemade blue corn tortillas. The margarita was perfect - made the simple way without a bunch of extra juices and the right amount of salt. Our wait staff was friendly, and many spoke English. The atmosphere was laid back and the music matched. As an added nice touch, they provided every table with some bug spray should it be needed at dusk when they come out for a bit...or a bite. This was probably one of our favorite dinner spots in town.

A wonderful place located just one street over from the main portside street in Puerto Morelos. The service was friendly and prompt and our drinks and food plentiful, delicious and reasonably priced. We enjoyed a yummy mango margarita as well as guacamole, coconut shrimp with a delicious risotto and perfectly tender crisp veggies, as well as a beef burrito with melt in your mouth slices of tender meat. Very impressed!

Ordered three things, an appetizer and two meals. One meal was served and was decent. Appetizer was eventually brought out after the meal was finished and repeated requests. Second meal was forgotten completely. When we left, still hungry, the table behind us who were seated at the same time, hadn’t received any of their food. Won’t be back, don’t recommend.

This restraunt is Amazing for the price. It is off the main street. 5 of us had food, drinks and dessert for $78. There is a wide variety of traditional mexican, steaks, pasta, wings. We ended up with fajitas, steak tacos, enchiladas, pasta and crepes for dessert. Everything was fresh and great. Our server was fantastic. I will be back!!!

Great location on a relatively quiet corner. Offers a wide selection of tacos and other dishes & everything we tried was delicious. Very friendly staff, often busy but with a nice relaxed atmosphere and popular with some local dog & cat characters. A regular stop for the many Puerto Morelos musicians to perform at. One warning though, be sure to carefully check your bill as we were massively overcharged for two "special" Margheritas offered by our waiter (we were charged more for each one than for our entire, very substantial meal). This was very quickly resolved by apologetic waitresses as soon as my wife questioned it though. Would recommend this place for food or drinks any time of the day.

I decided I wanted to try this place as I walked into town. I was not disappointed. I ordered ceviche (large) cause I love the fish so much. Along with that I ordered a margarita, 2 in fact. I had the mixed ceviche and it was delisioso. It had every in it. Along with came a small condiment with hot chopped up peppers. A little went a long way and a whole lot was not needed. The margaritas were smooth and just what I needed. Staff was personable and gave a person the right amount of space to enjoy their meal. Not pushy.

We were touring around Puerto Morelos looking for unique spots for a light dinner. On arrival we were ignored by the 3 staff busy having a conversation on their own, until the manager (?) shouted out to them. Our waiter was friendly, and mentioned a margarita special, turned out to be $11 for a very small glass, which came after the food. Had a couple tacos and they were very creamy, tasted ok but no crunch, not anywhere near the quality of others we had. Asked for bill and waiter forgot, another staff helped us out. Not recommended!
