Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The biggest assetof this restaurant are the hard working wait staff. They practically running trying to serve everyone. In France. Think about it for a minute. Too bad no one spoke English. The food unfortunately is very mediocre as was the limited wine selection.

This restaurant might not have the largest choice of dishes and it's a little expensive, but for a motorway service station it's pretty good food. The service is quick and efficient, but sadly not very smiley. We did eat well and the entrecôte was excellent,...as was the wine.More

If you stay at the Fasthotel, you only have two dinning options, La Dinée or the cafe next door . I would score it 2 out of ten for the food and 5 for the service (efficient without a smile). The only really good bit...of our meal was the half bottles of Fitou and Galliac . This restaurant caters for lunchtime travellers and overnight travellers at Fasthotel. Personally I would look up one of the many local hotels and restaurants a few minutes off the motorway and avoid this charmless venue. However , if I had a lorry to park up for the night this would just about tick the box ( the parking is excellent ).More

You don’t have a lot of choice as to where to eat if you are staying at the Fasthotel. The Dinée is ok though. Its fairly priced, the food is good -in fact the cassoulet is excellent. The service is very fast paced though -...i suppose its perfect for those who stop on the motorway and want to get back on the road quickly, but we did feel a bit rushed. Apart from that it was a good meal.More

Very nicely located right in the middle of the port of Port Loragais La Dinee first and foremist offers a grand view of the (Nicols) boats. The fare is average. Don’t go for any of the local specialties like the Cassoulet if you had it...or plan to have it in e.g. Castelnaudary. (Try it there at Chez David). The service is quick and friendly.More

A cafeteria like any other on the French highway system, but a very nice location along the Canal du Midi. We were lucky to enjoy good weather, so we ate on the terrace. We were joined by ducks on the water, and even a muskrat...came by on the water! Superb way to take a brake from driving.More

Great value for money. Quick service, fresh faire except for the french beans from a tin. Try the Salad with magrait as an entree. Really nice

The restaurant is on the marina which is basically Port Lauragais on the Canal du Midi, a very short walk from the nearby Fasthotel where I was staying. Since I had walked about 14 miles along the Canal that day and had a very small...lunch, I would probably have eaten anything but was happy that La Dinee had a large selection of food and beer and wine. Portions were large, if not elegant, and my cassoulet was OK, although definitely not the best I've had in this cassoulet region. A large salad and plenty of good bread accompanied it.More

Arrived late , having parked up the camping car for the night . Was suprised to find ther restaurant open . The menu was printed on the place mat - a bit like the old Berni Inns ( thats giving my age away !!) ....However the cassoulet was very good and was piping hot !! and it arrived very quickly .More

We eat dinner. The menu has enough variety and the dishses were big enough. There are many dishes based on gastronomic specialities of the region, starting with the famous cassoulet. The meals are correctly cooked and spiced. The "pichet" of wine was of a quite...good local wine. The desserts are also good. The service was fast and keen, we're very satisfied. And at last the price is very fair. Higly recomendable.More

A restaurant along the French motorway that really stands on its own. Focussed on local dishes, wines and situated on a little island inside the Canal du Midi, you can enjoy a good meal for a decent price before returning to your car...or boat (as...there is a small harbour for yaths around as well). Recommended if you look for something better than a sandwich or overpriced Mc Do burger.More

Had been travelling on the motorway and were looking for somewhere to stay and eat. This was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant overlooks the canal du midi in a spacious park. There is a limited menu at 14.50 euros (three courses) and a good choice...of salads. Of course one can always have cassoulet. With a bottle of Gaillac at 20 euros and coffee the total bill was about 60 euros - not bad value given the setting.More

We're travelling by bicycle so no real option to hop in the car after a day's biking. There is nothing else around here. So they kinda have a captive audience in that way! The setting is very nice, view wise. The interior is modern and...clean, up market cafeteria style. The menu is fine if you're a meat eater. If you're vegetarian, there are few options - tomato salad or goat's cheese salad. I asked and no alternatives were offered. Staff were efficient and pleasant. Price fairly standard for touristy location.More

We arrived pretty late at the hotel nearby - la couchee fasthotel - and we had the surprise of having a decent dinner with excellent cassoulet at around 10 pm. Average prices.

Do not normally post reviews but as heavily advertised as a good food place, be aware, this restaurant is nothing special and as it was the last night on our boat we were totally disappointed .
