I came here for lunch after visiting the museum nearby and I got some tasty braised beef with a glass of organic red wine. But what surprised me most was the dessert: a super-wow "cassata romagnola", a sort of regional sicilian dessert but with some...More

At the moment I have walking difficulties, and after spending 3 hours in the museum, we had not much choice about our lunch venue, I simply had to sit down as soon as possible. As this place is right by the museum, I expected a...More

The service is excellent, the menu includes food that can surprise you, and, last but not least, the wine! No big labels or names but the quality is super: just follow the suggestion and you won't regret!

We drove from Stockholm to Lecce, Forli, Lignano and finally Berlin. Of all the places we ate, this tiny inconspicuous off the main road restaurant served the best food. The owner, in his poor English tried his best to translate the menu. The food burst...More

The place is nice and the staff friendly. The food pretends to be top level but in reality one of our dishes was kind of too spicy (stracotto) and one too salty. The wine was fine. A kind of overrated restaurant. Friends from the area...More

Even trying the home menu, made of typical local dishes, reviewed with some modifications, the taste of the food was unexpectedly faint, except for the stracotto (beef stew) where cloves flavour dominated everything. The price is not low for such an unsatisfying cooking. The staff...More

Located in the heart of Forli close to the theatre and San Domenico Museums, DON ABBONDIO OSTERIA is a centenarian institution where theatre workers and actors used to have a meal at late night. Today the tavern belongs to the young host Simone, who is a sommelier and has a very particular passion on cheese too. The family took great care over the previous tavern style, but in a modern and stylish way. So that youʼll find paper placemats on the table, some of the traditional recipes on the list belonged to the inn history, such as “stracotto beef”, fried frogs, meatballs and tripe, but also a great selection of wine and contemporary paintings on the walls, made by the artist Enrico Lombardi. And for true lovers, a little cameo: a candle-lit dinner in the only one table under the roof.
