We stopped here by combination (we found parking for the car) and, upon entering the restaurant, they diverted us to the outdoor tables facing the lake. Enviable and relaxing position. The mise en place is treated with fabric tablecloths. The wine glasses were adequate. Nice...presentation of the dishes, but also of the bread. We chose the crispy octopus as an appetizer, served with mashed potatoes and black olive and celery powder. My host chose the marinated trout tartare with soy sauce and ginger, served with lime mayonnaise. Being a warm evening, we skipped the first course to enjoy a main course: for me Amberjack cooked on the skin served with daikon cream and black lumpfish roe. My host instead chose the Sea bass fillet, baked in the oven, served with carrot puree and sauteed spinach. To water the dinner we opted for a local wine; a Sparkling Cocchi brut Charmat method ... excellent choice for the evening. To finish the soft dessert with ice cream and for me an Amaro di Angera. Coffee. All for 120 €, an average price. The only drawback: if you decide for the view during dinner, bring a good supply of anti mosquito spray! Fortunately, the very kind staff provided us with a package that we used and passed on to the neighbors. We will be back ... maybe not on a very hot evening ...More

Excellent service. Delicious food, well-presented and a terrace right on the lake. My husband had steak which was thick and juicy. I had fish which was tasty with no bones. This is a superior restaurant. If you want pizza, go elsewhere.

This was a really great meal in every way. Brilliant food, perfect location overlooking the lake towards the mountains and super, under-stated service. It was quite beautiful. We had gone here on the strong recommendation of our hotel. And even then, we had to wait...a couple of days for a table. It doesn't look that special when you arrive. But then as brilliant course after brilliant course arrives, you just feel like you are in food heaven. The octopus starter was just exquisite while my steak main course tasted better than any steak I have ever had before. This place is just so special in so many ways.More

In the afterseason we fell into this warmly heated modern yet cosy restaurant. The menu was not very large - I prefer this because everything is fresh. The selection was nevertheless varied The Primo Piatto with pasta or risotto or ravioly with fish - meat...or vegetarian. The Secondo also with a full set of four to 6 choices. We had a special kind of spaghetti with trout, anchovis and broccoli and a excellent Caroli rice with porcini. As second a grilled beef entrecôte prepared to perfection with porcini and potatoes. The service by the owner competent and lovely. The recommended Barbaresco excellent.More

Small but charming with very good food and wines and on top a very attentive owner who explains what the restaurant has to offer. That it has been within walking distance from the apartment we stayed in was very convenient.

We did not have high expectations when we went to La Bruma but we had a very good meal there. We had the octopus starter (polpo crocante) followed by the fillet of orata (sea bream). Both were delicious. We followed this with a cheesecake (which...tasted more like a yogurt with an assortment of good fresh berries on top). Definitely the place to go in Belgirate.More

Small, lovely terrace overlooking lake and marvelous food. Small menu but all locally sourced food and made to order. Wine list very impressive for a small local restaurant and service is impeccable. Ravioli was delicious and so was sea bream. Only wish I had had...room for dessert!More

There is no doubt that the food is good but I would not say amazing. Fresh and well prepared, it tests good. But it miss the creativity and some surprising association of tests for me to get 5 stars. And for the price (135 euros...for three persons with 2 meals and dessert for only two plus a bottle of wine), it is quite expensive. But the service is very pleasant and wine recommendation absolutely okMore

Fonline local dinning in a small grooto like place on the main street, so call ahead. This is a relaxed and refined place with Italian and English menus. There are 5 to 6 first courses and we had a reasonably priced ravioli that started with...a soft, rich shell and comes home with a wonderful cheese from the regional fragerant Zella cheese that a mozzarella cousin. It is deliciously arrayed on a beet sauce. Various fish and ratatouille offered at reasonable prices. Our whole meal with a bread course a rose and aperitif and a pancetta type desertwas 52E. Wonderful, friendly service made us feel at home after the long flight, train and taxi rides to the town.More

We eat here three nights of our weeks holiday as it was so good. Twice we eat lakeside and once in the restaurant inside as it rained. The service was excellent, unhurried and unobtrusive. The food was amazing, we each enjoyed every course of every...meal. The risotto and beef entrecôte are worthy on a special mention for main courses and the desserts were fantastic. We drank wine and lager, good variety of choices, we got served free liqueur at the end of each meal. The cost for the two of us including drinks ranged between 60 to 80 euros which we felt was great value. My companion unfortunately broke her wine glass, and the staff were kindness itself in clearing up and making her feel at ease. We would certainly go there againMore

Had a great dinner at La Bruma. While a bit pricey (45-55€ per person), we thought the dinner was worth it. We had a great octopus dish, rice-flour encrusted perch, and pasta with a guinea hen ragu.

We stopped by La Bruma a week ago for lunch. It was a beautiful day and the terrace was bustling; consequently, service was a bit slow, albeit professional enough. We sat next to a table that looked like it might be dirty, but had a...tablecloth draped over it. I ordered entrecote, which was served lukewarm with roasted potatoes and was a little bit gristly. I got the sense that it sat for a few minutes before it reached the table, which isn't unexpected given how busy the waitress was. My husband had a salmon dish with cauliflower mayonnaise that he enjoyed, although he said it was a bit salty. Bread was brought out, but it didn't not appear to be homemade. We did enjoy a lovely bottle of wine and our desserts were excellent. I had a chocolate souffle and my husband had what appeared to be a deconstructed cheesecake in a glass. I noticed a couple of people having spaghetti and I kind of wished I'd ordered that. It looked very good. All in all, it wasn't a terrible experience, but there was some room for improvement. The inside of the restaurant is very nice, though.More
