While looking for a good place for mussels, we came across this restaurant. We were kindly welcomed in a cozy setting. Smooth service and the food was of higher quality than expected. The mussels in white wine were put in the top 3 by the connoisseur and the pasta truffle was also a hit. The ice cream pralines for dessert completed the rich meal.

Delicious food, very friendly service and everything was tasty! Ate with 2 children (13 and 6), we had salmon on toast, vitello and shrimp and cheese croquettes as a starter. All very tasty, dressed with fresh vegetables. For main: 2x sole and 1x pasta bolognese children's menu and 1x linquini bolognese. Both the children's menu and the adult portion of pasta were really the best portions, but the boys really enjoyed it and the plates (to my surprise) were empty! Very friendly service, nice atmosphere and definitely recommended. Simply good and fresh food!

We went to lunch at this restaurant. My wife took 3 shrimp croquettes with a salad. Very tasty according to her. 32 euros.
I took the vol-au-vent of Mechelen cuckoo. This was not a great success. It was served on a rectangular dish with fried mushrooms. The meat was quite dry and the sauce was watery. The fries were a disaster: very small pieces and fried dry. Baked for the second time? 28 euros.

Me and my partner were visiting Knokke and came across this place for a nice drink and lunch/brunch. However, The place was the biggest disappointment and the most horrible place I have ever visited. We were greeted by a grumpy manager, who I asked to be seated at the shade and you could see on his face how unhappy he was about such request. After we were seated at the table, we were given menus and ordered some water and rose. We were under the intention to order food when we came to the restaurant, however, we could not decide on our order quickly therefore we decided to start with the drinks and enjoy the environment until we decide on our food order. About 5 mins from receiving our drinks, the manager came to our table and told us “this is not a bar, this is a restaurant and you MUST order food” in the most disrespectful tone and then just walked away. As I was telling him “that I believe you are being rude”, he just turned around from me and walked away with complete ignorance. Such treatment came to me as a shock and I have never been approached by a staff member in such manner before. I would have understood the fact that they want us to order food, however, we have already ordered drinks and wanted to enjoy your lunch/brunch without being pressured into ordering food immediately which we would have ordered soon anyway. After such treatment, we quickly finished our drinks and asked for the bill. The waiter who took the payment from us could clearly see how distraught I was, however, we never received any apology neither from the waiter neither from the manager itself. This is NOT how customers should be treated EVER no matter of the circumstances. I would NOT recommend this place and stay away as far as possible unless you want to be treated like rubbish. The place should really reconsider their values and hire better / more friendly personnel who have more compassion and are customer-focused because there is NO EXCUSE to treat their customers in such a disgusting manner.

Via TA I ended up at this beautiful brasserie on the beach of Knokke. Got a nice table in the covered veranda with a view of the beach and the sea. Nice clear menu, complete wine list, being able to make good choices. Unfortunately no photo's because we were talking intensively. First we had carpaccio, pork croquettes and shrimp croquettes and the youth had scampi diabolo... and as a main course Rib Eye, Sole and Lekkerbekje (although that's called something else from Paladijn). Dessert also looked great, but we had already had lunch in the afternoon, which was a bit much. Very sweet and friendly service, especially the lady who indicated that she was the one who makes the Limoncello. We will definitely return here, what a great restaurant.

Typical Belgian brasserie cuisine! We had classic cheese croquettes, then steak, fries, salad. There's a lot more.
Everything was delicious, great service, casual, upscale atmosphere. Children can go outside, there are go-karts to rent on the big square. We were here twice last year, we like the Couteau! We'd love to come back.

We accidentally ended up sitting in Couteau and it was a wonderful experience for all of us. Everybody was very hospitable and the food is simply just excellent.
The atmosphere of the place is already welcoming and allows a lovely view on the beach as well if somebody is sitting more in the front.
Very very pleased with the food and if we will have the possibility we will definitely return.

We had a selection of Tapa’s to start during a wonderful Sunday sunset. The service was fast & friendly ! We had the irish beef & fish which was super fresh & perfectly cooked. We wrapped up with lovely desserts & coffee. A visit worthwhile for sure 👍

My wife , myself and our ridgeback Niko were on holidays at Knokke. We decided to have lunch in La Brasserie Couteau . I was very good and the waiters were all very kind! This is not always the case in Knokke. The owner takes the time to have a chat with his guests, which creates a good atmosphere. We went there two times in a row and will return on our next holiday in knokke!
