A bit hidden in the polders of Ramskapelle and away from the hustle and bustle of Knokke, this beautiful restaurant shines. The setting is enchanting under the foot of an old mill, which is also beautifully lit in the evening. The welcome is warm, as is the service from the experienced staff. Here we still work professionally with attention to the guests. The menu is varied and offers something for everyone. On the advice of the very friendly waiter, we had the onglet, a special piece of meat that you rarely see on a menu. It was a hit in terms of taste! The wines are tasty and not exaggerated in terms of pricing. The cozy setting completes the evening! Definitely one of the top addresses in the area!

This restaurant is worth a detour. The location: fantastically rural. The staff were very attentive, the food was so good that we went back the next day, this time for lunch. Tomato with hand-peeled shrimps/Hazenrug with pear in red wine, garlic and poached egg with fried potato/café ice cream. It was so good that we ordered the same thing again the next day. The turbot (Tarbotmoot op vel gebakken) also looked great, for next time :)

Top restaurant with the best products and a very nice location, especially when the weather is nice and you can stay on the terrace with the beautiful view of the mill in the picturesque village of Ramskapelle

We are regulars. We appreciate the setting and the kindness of the staff. We have also always appreciated the quality of the food and in particular the grilled steak, served generously. Since Covid, we have already seen a significant reduction in portions and a significant increase in prices, without this affecting the quality of the meat. Until today when we were served a matured Spanish entrecôte. Although the taste was very good, the firmness/toughness of the meat and the amount of sinew prevented us from eating much of the rib. We mentioned this to the waitress who took note of our remark and immediately forwarded it to the kitchen. We were doubly disappointed: on the one hand, because we were looking forward to tasting the super-meat from Kruier as usual, but on the other hand, because the communication of our remark was not followed up. no reaction from the staff: no apologies, no replacement proposal, no calculation on the bill..., nothing. It's a shame.

what a discovery: top location with a super garden, you feel like you are in Provence, super friendly service and very tasty food.
We had an appointment here for a birthday party with 8 of us and it was an immediate success. the managers are very friendly and accommodating (catering as it should be) and the staff also continues in the same spirit!
we are fans as well as our guests!

Long time we haven’t been so happily surprised : we had lunch with 6 snd eventhough it was a tad slow it was all worth it ! Great ingrédients, excellent food, friendly and professional service.

Only in Flamingo! Would it be difficult to do the same in French? Half the clients were French

We had a friends lunch and ended up paying 100 euro per person. Although the food is good, and the service very friendly, this is overpriced for 6 oysters and a tarbot. We only had 1 glass of champaign and water, ended with a coffee. The bill is adding up because everything surrounding the main dish is extra, such as vegetables, potatoes, and sauce.
A quiet place with a nice garden, but charging michelin rates without the star.

really good food with top ingredients. Went with a party of 6 and all were very happy with their meals. Setting is great, away from the busy coast line. They also have a cosy bar where you can drink something after dinner. Not the cheapest, but certainly worth the money.

We had lunch here to celebrate a dear friend's wedding and found the food to be simply exquisite, the service was great and very friendly and the location next to a restored windmill simply beautiful.
At one point I asked one of the two brothers who manage and own the restaurant if they could charge my phone and when I returned home and was going through my pictures of the happy day I found these pics on my phone! So funny:-).

As I visited ‘De Kruier’ several times, it still seems to be my number one restaurant when visiting the Flemish coast. With its functional location in Ramskapellen, adjacent to the city of Knokke, the restaurant is a must do when visiting or staying in Zeebrugge, Knokke-Heist, Sluis or some other coastal city. The clean, gemütlich and pastoral building, including its quaintly windmill, really intensifies the ‘old-fashion’ atmosphere of Ramskapellen. Even sitting inside you can sniff the agricultural theme, combined with a very modern interior and open kitchen, that really fits its purpose. All this is matched with an outstanding service. The staff are friendly, attentive and respectful. Every time I visited the place, the waiters made themselves available at any time. Although the dishes are mostly local and seasonal they always turn out to be very efficient and refined. One thing to look out for is that prices may go up because all sorts of garniture and extra salads will be charged separately. Therefore you can end up paying more than the original price on the menu. But chin up, when you’ll digest one of these terrific main courses, the last thing on your mind will be its price. Personally I always order the baked sole fish with fries and a rocket salad, quite simple you’d think, but the flavors are just so up to date. Even the appetizers are worth the trip. Overall highly recommended!

Enjoy lovely casual dining in the Belgium polders. The clientele is a microcosm of the Belgium vacationers in Knokke-Heist, and the restaurant provides the perfect environment to relax, visit with locals and enjoy typical Belgique fare. Situated at the base of an old windmill, you can dine al fresco or be seated inside with a marvelous outdoor view; there's not a bad seat to be had. The waitstaff is young but skilled, and certainly aims to please. The entrecôte is outstanding as is the filet, and the rocket salad alone is worth the trip!

This is by far our favourite restaurant in Knokke and surroundings. The house and mill are truly beautiful as well as the very tasteful decorations. The staff is very busy but always friendly. We always eat the contrefilet or the Entrecote. The formula of chasing your own side dishes and sauces is really nice and everything is home made and very fresh and tasty. You can have an aperitif or a drink in the café right next to the main house, which is a cause little country house. We'll go back again and again.
