This bright, spacious brasserie on the seafront has been a landmark of Knokke-Heist for aeons. Expertly prepared Belgian classics are the specialities of the house. Think crispy shrimp croquettes (said to be the best around!) and pan-seared sole with a tartar sauce prepared à la minute. The chef loves working with North Sea fish, but also has a passion for meat dishes and seasonal specialties, such as hop shoots with mousseline sauce. These timeless brasserie classics are simply irresistible!

This restaurant is only open for lunch but the great news is that the food, the service and the atmosphere approach perfection.
The price, in contrast with over 150 other experiences at the Belgian coast is actually cheap for the quality you get.
The open kitchen and bar give confidence and the chef deserves a lot of praise. I recommend it without any hesitation even to the most demanding foodlover.

Best Brasserie in Knokke Heist.
Very clean
For a brasserie the menu isn’t that extensive, there are 2 versions; traditional and seasonal.
Great service
Decent portions. Well served,
OK wine list, especially for Knokke where often the list is composed of too many mediocre french bottles. too traditional too.
Audience a bit “older” but the plates are modern enough
We like coning here, and highly recommend the place.
Price quality probably one of the best
Ideal for spring, winter as this is indoors only. Very light due to the porch style facade.
Ps: dogs allowed!

This "brasserie" surpasses many restaurants in quality level. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the seawall. The tables are mutually spaced. The dishes are of excellent quality. The reception and service are very courteous. Very good value for money.

Always nice to have lunch here. Constant quality in food and service, which is very important to me personally.
Nice, albeit somewhat limited menu, partly regular classics, partly seasonal dishes, but always tasty and nice portions.

We went at lunch and had the 3 suggestions: soup, a starter and a main dish. The food was well crafted, tasted delicious and was plenty. All together this cost 36€! It was a long time ago that I had such a great meal at such a price.

Bad , Bad cooked filet pure grey meat what a hoax.afraid of going there again on saterday with friends.And not even speaking about the austrian wine who normally is fresh and vigours and now was flat and dull.Not well preserved I suppose

Wonderful location on the sea front. Cool & modern building. Smart layout with an impressive bar and excellent toilets. Disappointments started when we arrived: no welcome and no-one to show us to our table even though we were accompanied by a very eldery lady. The waiter simply pointed out our table on the other side of the restaurant before rushing off to serve a table. Service was extremely efficient but soulless. At no time were we asked if we were happy with the meal nor did any member of staff smile at any time! 2 of our party chose the sole meuniere (one of the signature dishes) and another steak tartare. Very good. Excellent desserts and coffee. When we paid, we were not asked if we were satisfied with the Bristol experience nor were we thanked for our custom. Again we were not accompanied when leaving the restaurant. I find it hard to reconcile our experience with the comments of recent reviews.

Besides being right on the beach with a wonderful view, the entire meal was wonderful from start to finish. Staff recommendations were excellent. We could do without dogs in the restaurant though.

Lots of friends advised us to visit this place before but we hadn't had the chance until this weekend. It was a true surprise, both on the interiors and the delicious dishes. I think that they could evolve to a Michelin star but I don't think it's their purpose to get there. You can easily come here with children (our daughter is 5) for such a gastronomic restaurant. We will definitely be back soon! Mind it's not cheap though, but worth the money.

Every course was just a delight! it is not the cheapest restaurant but worth every penny!
It was very hard to make a choice ut we had the vitello tonnato and Pluma Iberico.The restaurant is located at the sea with nice views. It's very stylisch and warm decorated.

Giving this restaurant an overall rating is a conundrum. Within the category of a brasserie it serves excellent food at an excellent price. No pomp and circumstance, no artistic presentation, no pizzaz - just delicious, well-prepared food. I had the rib-eye steak with the poivre sauce, frites and a fresh garden salad. All the servings were generous, the steak was perfectly cooked to order, the frites were classic Belgium frites served with mayo and the salad was a lovely mix of garden greens with a light dressing. The only minor shortcoming was the poivre sauce which, although very flavorful, was a bit too thin for my personal preference. This restaurant will please you whether you are age 8 or 80!

Restaurant was full so good we booked in advance. Went with family of six. Food was really good; setting really nice (modern with classical touch) and service impeccable! Will go again but the place isn't cheap so need to pick the right occasion!
