On our way back from the Monolithos castle ruins, this perfect Greek-style taverna was recommended to us by a friend. The owner Manolis who welcomed us with an uncommon hospitality and in whom we gave full confidence, advised us what to eat. Everything was very good, 2 dishes above all: yogurt and grilled angel (phenomenal!!). The only flaw, as far as I'm concerned, is the wine list not up to the food. it is recommended.

Not the most glamourous restaurant, and in a small remote village accessible by car. We were apprehensive, as upon arrival the place was dark and looked closed, but as the evening progressed our delight grew. We took the beef stew which was mouthwateringly tender and nicely portioned. We also took the goat and lamb (with salad) which was surprisingly delicious. The lamb chops were simply but expertly grilled, while the goat was oven baked with tomatoes and herbs. The owner (one of two brothers) was a friendly and helpful chap, determined to please. We received free desserts and shots of a local liquor which were both great. I love places that are not pretentious, and that just cook great simple food. A gem of a find and highly recommended.

Hi, we stayed in Embonas last week for a few days and had food here in the second evening and it was amazing. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and just simply super. I would eat there again if in the area. Had saganaki to start and lamb as a main. Moist succulent and tasted so fresh. Well worth a visit if staying in the village or if in Rhodes and hie a car. The menu was traditional and the all local wine is served that is grown in embonas. Give it a go you will not be disappointed.

Today I had lunch at Bakis in Emponas, a restaurant that has remained true to itself over the years. It was a perfect experience, as always. The delicious mezze, savory lamb chops and crispy fries satisfied my taste buds. But beyond the gastronomy, it was the warm and friendly atmosphere that enchanted me. Bakis in Emponas is much more than just a restaurant, it is a place where you feel at home, where you share pleasant moments with friends or family.

Ate really delicious lamb twice. Everything was fresh because the restaurant has its own butcher shop (opposite the restaurant). We really had nothing to complain about. Even the house wine - white and rosé - were good (rosé was even better in our opinion). We'll definitely be back.

Here was an amazing food, we tried traditional Greek dishes, which were delicious. Amazing host service and fruitfulness. Excellent local wine is served. Simple environment but the Greek cuisine is amazing. Greetings from Lithuania.

On the advice of a collage competitor, who was having coffee with us this morning, we took a detour to these special brothers.
Highly recommended, first class, being hospitable is also the most normal thing in the world here. Incredible to feel so at home on your first visit. In addition, a delicious meal, good wine and pleasant stay.

We ate here a few times during our stay in the village. The food is wonderful and the service is great. The staff are very friendly and everything is home cooked. The prices were great and food and drinks good value for money.

We had a very good dinner in this family tavern which owns the town's butcher's shop. We come there to eat meat which is cooked on the grill and which is delicious.
We were offered Greek yogurt with fresh fruit.
I highly recommend this address where
Locals come to dinner.

WE stopped here for lunch while travelling to a wine tasting. Fantastic meal with a relaxed atmosphere. It was fairy busy with coach trips but the food was fresh, hot and quick.

Very lovely food. The served meats are good and fresh, as they are also butchers, which is a big plus. However, some cuts are not perfect as you would expect. Staff is kind and accommodating.
