I was recommended to dine at wigis by one of my work colleagues who recently dined here and I must say that I was extremely impressed by the whole experience, the genuine welcome by all the team as we entered was nice as it’s become a bit of a rarity these days, the food all looked and tasted fresh, with nothing to over powering added showed that simple dishes don’t need much but need care and attention. The wine list was also wallet friendly with wines ranging from €20-€130 which shows there’s something for everyone. The service was super and not to over the top, the team engage with everyone but still manage not to be in your face. Thanks to all for making my nans birthday a brilliant one ! See you in the not to distant future!

As a group of 7 with teenage boys we were very well served by the attentive staff at Wigi's. They present the meat and fish cuts prior to you choosing your dish. Calamari and Tuna Croquettes were both well loved starters. The main courses simply excelled. Rib Eye was flavourful and cooked to perfection before the addition of Red Wine and Rosemary jus. Chateaubriand was cut to share and served with Bernaise and Red Wine sauces. Wine selection is short but features quality at reasonable prices (apart from the Tiagnello @ EUR 180 🤔 ) Service is 5 star - from all staff - you are definitely valued as as a customer. Thanks for a great evening.

We booked in to Wigi’s for dinner at the recommendation of a Maltese friend and were not disappointed. Its a family run restaurant up some discreet stairs in a light airy room with a view of the harbour. They bring the meat and fish out to show you and make recommendations to help you choose - just like they do in proper family restaurants. We could see that the quality of the meat was exceptional so had the chateaubriand which was cooked perfectly as requested. The experience was so good that we booked again for the following night and chose the pasta with pig cheek shavings which was also delicious. The service and level of cooking really are exceptional, reasonably priced for the island and were easily the best meals we had whilst on holiday. We ate in many of the top restaurants in the area and they mostly gave an average experience and seemed mainly interested in your money and turnover. Its a cliche but here we really felt like we were sharing a family experience with them. Unsurprisingly the restaurant is rated number 1 on Trip Advisor so booking is probably essential in busier times.

Wow, what a gem this place is. We were looking for a nice place that did steaks for my birthday meal and we found one in Wigi's Kitchen. The reviews were good so we booked up and went along. The moment we arrived it felt perfect, friendly atmosphere, fabulous helpful staff and the most wonderful food. We were served a dish of tasters and Maltese bread which were all delicious. We both had the fillet steak, it was cooked to perfection for both of our tastes, it was so tender, like putting a knife through butter, it came with green vegetables and we chose the roast potatoes, we both agreed it was the best steak we've ever had and we've had some good ones. The whole experience was made even better by the lovely staff, always smiling, extremely helpful and just great people. The place soon filled up, so I would recommend booking, as if you miss this little gem you will have missed out. Thank you all at Wigi's for helping to make my birthday a memorable one x Also for the surprise chocolate dessert you gave us to say Happy birthday x

Following the advice of other TA contributors I booked Wigi's Kitchen for our special meal whilst in Malta. I wasn't disappointed! We were asked to arrive around 7.00pm to be sure of getting one of the window tables overlooking the swimming pool and Balluta bay. The welcome was warm and genuine. We were shown the various cuts of red meat on offer followed by the fresh 'catch of the day'. My friend and I opted for the fillet steaks whilst the girls chose a large red snapper which was then filleted and shared between 2. The starters of chilli salt squid with a Thai dipping sauce were as amazing as the mains. Definitely Highly Recommended!

The food is excellent at wigi's kitchen. It has a wonderful atmosphere with views of Balluta Bay. The staff were really accommodating and helpful. Due to a food intolerance, they made a different type of sauce so I can enjoy with the food.

Went with several coworkers and found Wigi’s a place I would want to visit again. First, great atmosphere, second floor with a nice view of the water. Service was both professional and quite friendly. My starter was the highlight of the meal, red mullet. Never had them before and was much better than I expected. Ordered it from the fresh fish plate, which I have to admit was also fun. My main was tuna steak, which was a nice size steak prepared exactly as I asked (very rare). I find the tuna on Malta a little different than other places and I do not like the texture as much, but I can’t complain as the preparation was perfect and I have the same issue at other restaurants (note to self, do not order tuna again in Malta). I will definitely go back as the combination of service, view and red mullet was great.

We are big steak lovers and have sampled steak menus from the Pacific to the Far East. Wigi’s gave us with THE best steak plus sauces we’ve ever had! Before ordering, the chef came table-side to present us with the raw cuts for the different menu selections of the evening. Both of us were wowed with the marbling of the rib-eyes so we both ordered those. They came cooked to perfection with incredibly tasty homemade béarnaise and peppercorn sauces. Both were exceptional! You could literally taste the homemade in them! For dessert we went with the in house tiramisu… OMG! Freshness was out of this world. Perfectly chilled and served with an excellent dessert wine. Do yourself a favour and book in advance. You WILL NOT be disappointed. They know what they’re doing here and what they’re doing is world class cuisine at reasonable prices! Can’t recommend it enough.

We were celebrating one of our parties birthday and had booked a table at Wigi’s, we had asked for a window table and on confirmation were told it may not be possible. However, they managed to sort it out and we enjoyed a window table with a view of the waterpolo match opposite. The food arrived and our table went silent in appreciation of the delightful starters, scallops for three beautifully cooked and baked Brie for one so perfect it was unbelievable. First course was one fillet of beef, one ribeye, one duck and one sea bass, each member of the party took their time to savour the food, each dish was cooked to perfection and deserved the attention given. Dessert was two strawberry meringue and one vanilla panacotta. The restaurant went the extra mile and made our friends birthday complete with sparkler in her pud and both desserts were melt in the mouth delicious.

Went to Wigi on a whim yesterday and we were really happy we chose this place for dinner. The food was cooked to perfection, the server was very attentive to our needs and overall it was an awesome dinner with friends. Will definitely be putting this place on our regular list.

From the moment you enter, you are immediately welcomed with a smile and feel very much at home. Staff are warm and knowledgeable with attention to detail. The food that comes out of their kitchen is exquisite and cooked from the heart. A very nice selection of wines and by the way make sure you taste their home made desserts. Highly recommended and good value.

We have visited Wigi’s before and what keeps us coming back for more is first and foremost the incredible food, the lovely environment and the impeccable service. Last night we had two starters to share: Risotto with butter poached asparagus & cheese fondue (AMAZING!) and the Glazed octopus on a beetroot hummus, Gozitan asparagus & baby leaves, both so delicious. As mains we had the pan seared duck breast, and the tagliata di manzo and my goodness, I can honestly say that the tagliata was one of the best meat dishes I’ve ever had! We shared one dessert the Sicilian ricotta with crushed cannoli, lovely. This food is prepared by people that love food and know what they’re doing and take advantage of the beautiful ingredients they have at their disposal. Beppe and Wes took care of us throughout our visit, they were very attentive, friendly and above all knowledgeable, you can tell that they love what they do. Another thing we noted was that the restaurant takes COVID-19 restrictions seriously and the staff serve oil and balsamic vinegar themselves to avoid a lot of contact and also the menu is dated so you know that the menu will not be used on another day. Well done to all the staff, you will see us back soon!

Absolutely excellent food, the best food of the holiday, they so deserve their 5* rating and totally unpretentious with it. We are a family of four and we ordered 2 fillet and 2 ribeye steaks which were cooked to perfection. The fillets came with a lovely port jus and a side of fresh greens and the ribeyes came with a whiskey butter and fresh carrots & parsnips, there were also plenty of gorgeous roast potatoes and chips on the table to share. Highly recommend a visit to Wigi’s, delicious 😋

Even the server was great but the management team is a hot mess. We sat down and asked for separate checks for the 2 couples in attendance. Then we placed our order including a suggestion for the right wine to pair. The head waiter cut me off as I was describing my preferences and basically said he doesn't know anything about wine. Really? This isn't a cheap eat place. So shockingly his first recommendation wasn't any good for us. Restaurant cost for the bottle was probably ~ 10 euro but you would think I just rejected a 50Euro bottle based on the head waiter's lack of professional decorum. The second snafu is when one of our meals was missed and wasn't served until after everyone had finished there meal. Then the manager engaged and he assisted with the remainder of the order. We asked for coffees and of course he didn't bring spoons. He also screwed up my desert order. We are all in good spirits though but then the head waiter brought a calculator and scratch paper and told me to split the bill as he was busy and they don't do this activity much. Final straw. Of course when they brought the bill, nothing was comped despite their comedy of errors. They finally comped some items but after being told what the right thing to do was after the fact. It was complete amateur hour. We were in a restaurant 2 days earlier and the 20 year old waiter comped the meal and a bottle of wine without even remarking even though it came out of his pocket. Of course we tipped him heavily to cover the loss plus because he did the right thing. Right thing for us with this restaurant was this review so that the owners can fix there team before this great restaurant fails.

We have booked a table for two for Valentines Day and when we arrived we were very warm welcomed and got, after showing interest, a short explanation about the fresh meat and fish. The starters we ordered as shared and after getting some nibbles these arrived and after the first bite I knew, that Wigis was the perfect choice for the evening. The food was a masterpiece of textures and tastes as well as technical knowledge and I was more than just intrigued. The service was the best service I have encountered in 2 years of living in Malta, Wes and his colleagues always had an eye out for us and as soon as we would come close to the bottom of the wineglass, we had him filling it up again and asking if we are fine, what we most certainly were. But it was just the perfect amount of attention from the service, big Kudos! Overall we had 2 starters, 2 main courses, 1 dessert and 2 bottles of wine (whoops) and were paying under 150€ what may not be cheap, but surely matches the quality of the evening. Generally I felt like the whole team of Wigis is like one big family and that really reflects the feeling that you get as a guest.
