About
One of QLD's first hotels, originally built in 1868 but moved from the gold fields of Gympie in the 1980s to its current location in Boreen Point. The historic hotel now sits amongst the rainforest on the shores of the Noosa river at the start of the iconic Noosa Everglades. Originally used as a music hall, it still hosts some great jam nights and local musicians. The hotel is now known for its hospitality and friendly service, its unique historic design and history, and the variety of locally sourced tasty meals. Guests on the weekends see smoked meats, loaded spuds and other tasty items come out of the spit shed in the venue's beer garden. Reasonable prices keep guests coming back for more, and the relaxed atmosphere keeps the venue on the map for return visitors. The hotel has 10 rooms of accommodation on the premise, the rooms are clean but basic, and are recommended for guests that wish to enjoy the hotels hospitality well into the night. No bookings required, and dog friendly!

Husband has always wanted to have the spit roast at this pub so drove from Brisbane to experience the old charm. The pub is everything you would want it to be an old country place lots of room and good service! But husband was deflated when there was no pig roasting over the fire it had already been cut up and meat served from a buffet!!!! The food was good and lots of it and the crackling was to die for. Only thing not sure I like fried rice or salad with a roast if the day! It was a great afternoon rain was pouring, cold beer in hand and listening to a fabulous duo who where singing what could better on a Sunday afternoon. Thank you

The Apollonian hotel was transferred from Gympie to Boreen Point in the 1980’s apparently and aren’t we glad as there isn’t many options in town. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and we were lucky as there was a band playing with a large display of Harley Davidson motorcycles as well as a small number of veteran cars. For food you had a choice of ordering smoked roasts rom or section and normal pub grub from the other station. The session was very popular with many patrons but there was plenty of seating all around the pub set in a rainforest setting. A good day was had by all.

Great to see that things have improved again with rhe owners back and the lessees out. Service is now friendly and fast. Good pub staples. Only complaints are that the salads all need a little dressing. Had a prawn salad with lovely fresh prawns but no flavour needed a mango vinaigrette or something. Side salads also no dressings.

Stop in and enjoy the relaxed setting of this historic pub. Great food every day for lunch and dinners, including great coffee, home made fresh scones and cakes. The perfect venue for any gathering from two people to two hundred, with ample grounds for partying in a family friendly atmosphere. There is live music Friday nights and weekends and even a Craft Shop open Sundays, featuring unique and interesting gifts. All hand made by local artisans. The huge trees surrounding the hotel make for a cool and beautifully relaxing spot whenever you stop in. A must do while in the beautiful Noosa shire town of Boreen Point, only a couple of minutes from Lake Cootharaba.

A delightful setting for an outdoor lunch. Good menu choices although chips served with lasagna seemed a bit odd but everyone (6) enjoyed their meal. A tempting display of scones led to disappointment when the jam was a tart orange and ginger marmalade. Nice on morning toast, but horrible with cream on a scone. But overall a very enjoyable lunch.

The Apollonian Hotel is a characterful building in a beautiful spot with a huge outdoor area overlooking sprawling lawns. The staff are very friendly and are clearly enjoying having patrons back in the new normal post-COVID world. Fairly typical pub-grub menu, but our snack lunch of sweet potato wedges and duck spring rolls were tasty nonetheless.

The son of the man who brought the pub down from Gympie now runs the pub. He is extraordinarily good at running the pub. He knows how to attract great staff, treats each person as they wish to be treated, the place is spotless, the food is delicious. A bus of 40 people can turn up unannounced and the staff have them fed and watered with no fuss! All ages love it. The kids of all ages roll down the front lawn laughing all the way. Come visit. It is one of the great treasures of Australia.

We have been coming to the Apollonian for years and stopped because the food and service were so bad. We went back last week after hearing it is under new management and were well rewarded. The outdoor smokehouse food was awesome esp the Pulled Pork burger with slaw. There are a lot more staff which helps and there was a nice friendly vibe. There were a few locals dining so the word is definitely out. The meal sizes could be a little more generous but overall Well done guys!

We visited three nights for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meals and friendly service. The last night there were a variety of singers/bands on which were easy to listen to. Meals are reasonably priced.

We came to the hotel to have a touch of lunch. Yes it was slightly busy as school holidays but we ordered out lunch at 1.30pm I know this due to the COVID sign in I checked the time as my partner ordered our meals it now 2.41pm as I write this review and still waiting on our food. The kitchen needs to organise a better system of time management. I’d hate to be here when it was really busy at at full capacity on a weekend.

The new owners/managers of this truly iconic pub are actually the initial family that moved the old pub 30 years ago from Gympie to a beautiful parkland area at Lake Cootharaba, 25 minutes north of Noosa. Here generations of children have played safely on the large front lawn while the rest of the family enjoyed a spit roast and a beer or wine on the long porch. The music bar has attracted a broad range of musicians to play in the music bar which is known for its excellent acoustics. Bring your swimmers, dingy or motor yacht! See you there! Anna.

Went for their "famous" Sunday Roast. The food was average. The price was expensive. The size was tiny - seriously I could easily have eaten 2 of them. I was still hungry when I finished. And that included the desert, which was part of the deal.

Not for the older traveller. Perfect for backpackers. Very small rooms with no amenities at all. No T.V , wi fi, air con, fans, outside toilet and shower block, shared kitchen. Hotel itself was nice. Good meals, a little expensive, clean and well set out. Staff very friendly and helpful.

What a great hotel in the middle of near to nowhere. Beer is cold and food was great. The meats and salads from the outdoor smoked area were great, best I have had. Atmosphere at this hotel is great.

Just love this lovely outdoor setting, with chilled out live music and original smokehouse meals. Something different at last near Brisbane! There is also a good bistro menu available. If you visit Noosa, put this place on your list for a dinner or lunch.
