I was actually concerned about where we would get lunch on our drive from Auckland to Russell - via the west coast - looking for vegetarian options. Not usually a food truck fan but this is truly a cafe - no deep fryers!. The women...who own/work here are so lovely. We had both the veggie salad and veggie wrap - lots of yummy ingredients - a bit too much dressing for me - just ask for less. The ice cream looked fantastic but we didn't try - next visit!More

This place is a little gem. We opted to have coffee and breakfast here instead of the hotel we stayed at the night before, and that was a very good choice. The bagels were super tasty, and a very decent coffee - the muffin we...bought for later was delicious too. The folks that run this place were super friendly, would definitely returnMore

After driving thru the Waipoua Forrest, seeing a coffee cart sitting outside the front of the Tàne Mahuta entrance.. definitely stop and say hello and get to know the history of Tàne Mahuta they also have guides who are willing to take you thru the...Forrest tour.. coffee was yum.. and the slices, muffins and carrot cake looked just as good.. place to sit outside, funky music playing and friendly faces.. definitely worth a stop.More

Literally in the "middle of nowhere" that could easily just be a tourist trap of average quality because there is nothing else there, but no, they serve excellent coffee and the fresh fruit ice cream is equally good as well as gluten-free treat options. Highly...recommend.More

Genuinely our best takeaway coffee of the trip and the real fruit ice cream got the big tick from the children too (we tried a few other ice creams on the journey and they still say it was the best). Lovely guys on the counter...too! The food looked good but we didn’t get anything. Perfect location as it’s in the middle of the forest so an ideal trip breaker after being gobsmacked by Tane Mahuta.More
