We came by chance upon this restaurant while walking in the old city of Briancon and made a reservation by phone. Lucky were we, there was a table available for the next evening. We thus walked back to the top of the hill and met the manager, who was incredibly friendly behind her protection mask. The dinner was flawless, from the delightful mise en bouche of celery purée & wasabi mousse, to the first dish of lobster samousas, incredibly subtle, to the ris d'agneau (lamb sweetbread) which reminded me how better they are than veal sweatbreads, when perfectly cooked. The latter come with gnocchis de sauge, a discovery to remember. The only regret was that the restaurant was out of sweet Gewürtztrammine! The other dishes also sounded delicious, in particular the tartare de bulot de Granville... Do not miss this place if in Briancon!

This is the best of fine dining and excellent service without the painful bill - it is exceptional value for money. The restaurant has no problem catering for food intolerances - we were told to choose what we wanted and they would adapt it to requirements - which they did exactly. I don't think I ever had a better meal at this price. The food is sophisticated and original without being fussy or pretentious, with excellent fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented. The service was warm and friendly, as well as knowledgeable; the décor, tasteful. The wine list is very extensive and reasonably priced.

After properly booking and receiving a confirmation SMS, what a surprise when arriving to see that our Reservation had not been taken into account. Fortunately showing the SMS confirmation, everything worked out, but we didn't feel expected. In a very well decorated setting, we then tasted dishes that honor the chef. You can feel mastery in the kitchen. Beautiful wine list with beautiful discoveries, especially local. But the little extra that has been missed, which is expected when you go to a Michelin-referenced establishment, is the mastery of service. The waitresses were kind and fast, but many small awkward details: no particular knowledge of the menu, beyond what is written on the menu, the same for the wines. No accompaniment with the aperitif, while excellent appetizers are then served, inversion of the starters during the service. Another small point: we took the lamb, but had not paid attention to the little phrase that they were sweetbreads. And no warning when taking an order. A little confusing, not everyone necessarily likes sweetbreads. Fortunately these were very well prepared, but with a little comment from the waitress when taking order it would have been perfect. In short a very good address, which still has some areas for improvement.

Around 5pm we booked a table for 3 people without specifying that the third would be our 2 year old daughter, and this was perhaps our mistake. When we arrived on site with stroller, we already noticed that the staff was in difficulty. As soon as they saw that we brought food from home for the little girl (since she is 2 years old, she still follows a special diet) we were told that we will still be forced to pay €25 for the children's menu for her even if she doesn't touch the food, because it takes up the space. space and the table was intended for three place settings. We were then forced to leave the restaurant with a crying baby in our arms because she was already sitting at the table and wanted to eat. An embarrassing situation for everyone. It's a shame that in a restaurant they care more about selling an extra lid, rather than giving customers a gastronomic experience.

Very pleasant welcome as is the service which is professional and efficient. The chef is present in the room and very available. We had the discovery menu which was perfect. Very well-presented plates, dishes with very fresh, tasty, well-seasoned products, very precisely cooked. The desserts were also perfect (especially the chartreuse Vacherin) The Bandol rosé accompanied the entire menu well. A very good quality/price ratio for a culinary experience that you want to repeat. Well done !!!

We come to Amber Pleasure every time we are in the area. Always surprised by its ranking on trip because it is an excellent restaurant which stands out from other restaurants which are certainly correct but which serve good “local” cuisine. At the P.A the cuisine is very inventive and original both in terms of products and flavors. It deserves more than a gourmet BEEP. Good wine list. The welcome, the service, the visit from the chef at the end of the service contribute to having a very pleasant culinary moment The value for money is correct Until the next visit

I booked late, the restaurant was full, the boss agreed to receive us anyway by shifting the schedule of our meal. I really do not regret, the welcome is perfect and we made a meal of great gastronomic quality in a pleasant and friendly setting. In the end the boss who is also the chef likes to talk in a simple way with his customers, he has made a remarkable journey in big tables and has a lot of future where else.

A highly recommendable address. Very well turned dishes, with perfectly mastered cooking , mixtures of flavors between tradition and modernity. This deserves a Michelin star! The service is welcoming, smiling, efficient , all in a very pleasant setting, within the walled city. To be booked, as the number of tables is limited.

We discovered the new decoration which makes the restaurant brighter and contemporary. The furniture and dishes have also been changed. The menu changes regularly. The quality of the products, the accuracy of the associations and the accompaniments are fortunately still there. We took the discovery menu which lives up to its name and delighted us. The signature Vacherin chartreuse dessert is a must. Meeting the chef in the dining room is always a moment of discussion with a passionate person. The new master of the room is pleasant and professional.

An excellent time in this gourmet restaurant. Everything is perfect from start to finish. Very pleasant and efficient service. The discovery menu is refined and original, a lot of research into the dishes, very good products and a presentation worthy of the greatest restaurants. Deserves 1 star. A big congratulations to the chef who is very friendly. Exceptional value for money for this level of cuisine.

On vacation in Briançon, we had dinner at the end of the week at Plaisir Ambré. We took the Discovery menu. What a delight! All dishes were tasty, very well cooked and beautifully presented. The decoration was very neat. The atmosphere was warm and the service very pleasant. We highly recommend this restaurant, very well located in the Vauban city.

The new discovery menu was, as always, a pure taste and visual marvel. The chef manages to innovate each time. The dishes are very different but always accurate and very tasty. a special mention for the sea bass tartare with asparagus and the monkfish with risotto but also the pâté en croute and the crispy shrimp... The Vacherin with Chartreuse is also extraordinary. Great culinary art in a "friendly" atmosphere. The chef is not looking for the Michelin Star but he richly deserves it. See you this summer for new adventures!!!
