Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

away from the main street of the ramparts the address is confidential because very few tables which guarantees a cozy atmosphere in a rustic setting
Very friendly welcome
Only homemade, want to eat all the dishes, difficult choice to make
Until the chef prepares your meal an aperitif with topping is offered. Once repu a free digestive or lollipop candy
Patterns are a very rare kindness these days as well as the waiter
I sign "unnamed" the bosses will remember

Excellent welcome.
The trout with wild fruits is to die for.
The owners are charming and the servers attentive.
The classroom is a lot of fun for the children.
You can eat on a sleigh or in a cart.
We would just like the Jukebox music to be quieter.
I recommend.

Rustic place, friendly staff, excellent raclette but too expensive for the average Italian. A family of 4 people, two adults and two children, spends 174 euros for raclette and a bottle of cider.
They propose to take away only the leftover cured meats in the box but deny the removal of the uneaten form of raclette cheese, legitimizing the suspicion of use for the fondue the following day. 40 euros per person for raclette alone is excessive, in the main course it is indicated at 25 per person in more refined rooms. We won't be coming back again. Too bad, we had been customers for years

The welcome is really top notch. The owner and the two waiters are friendly. I loved the decor. We were served quite quickly and the aperitif offered plus the digestive were great. But the prices are a bit expensive. And the plates are not that full. I'm not sure it's all homemade.

We booked this restaurant for the last night of our ski trip which was also my brother in law’s birthday. It has a very quirky interior which appealed to both adults and children. The owners, particularly Claudine, were charming and funny. The food was excellent. Delicious fondues. I recommend the fondue cepes which is a delicious twist on the standard fondue. We will definitely visit again

The restaurant is decorated with children’s toys but not a reason to be put off. Very reasonable menu at a great price.
Madam is a delight and menus available in French, English and German.
If in Briancon head to the old town and visit for lunch or an evening meal.

A beautiful little restaurant in this amazing historic location. The owner was even nice enough to gift me their Velo poster in the restaurant window unpromted, to commemorate my Etape ride the day before. Very much appreciated!

We were warmly welcomed by the owner and enjoyed our duck with chips, "vegetable rissole", etc. A sauce would have improved the flavours on the plate.
The creme brûlée was very good but the apple tart was burnt and had to be replaced .
The cost of our meals was very reasonable, as was the cost of a half litre carafe of red house wine- very drinkable !!

This was our fifth dinner in Briancon and we wanted to try some place different. The Hotel Edelweiss had a desk ad for le Rustique so we thought we would give it a try. The decor is eccentric. The owner greeted us warmly. We were the first customers of the evening, having returned hungry from a hiking.
We were all pleasantly surprised at the delicious dinners. Each of us ordered something different, and each of us was happy. The wine was good. The service good, and the food satisfying to hungry hikers. Thank you.

You must go there if you are coming through Briancon. I have never seen such a well decorated restaurant. My daughter loved playing in the "School section" and we had amazing food. Everything was delicious, and the owners very friendly. We highly recommend it. We ate there twice, my favorite dish (which is their specialty) is Fondue aux Morilles.

Unfortunately we keep trying this restaurant - but have found the quality of food inconsistent and does not compare with that of its neighbours. The menu offered is much the same as the majority of local establishments, slightly more pricey, and yet we have had some real disappointments.
