Superb raclette

Ate with a friend on a Monday evening, booked through trip advisor. Food was great, I got the raclette with wild mushrooms and instead of the meat, a substitute of more potatoes and a Spinach filled parcel. Loved the raclette, would definitely recommend, it was very rich! For 2 people it cost around 25-30 euros each, so probably expected given the area.

Our best restaurant experience in Briancon!

We'd meant to eat at another restaurant, but being Monday it was closed - thankfully this led us to L'Etage and what a find! On entry the place felt good with a mix of rustic and contemporary and soft lighting throughout. Menus in English helped us to make informed meal choices. My lamb chops coated in pistachio and mixed provencal herbs was truly excellent and the accompanying roasted potatoes were very good too. Other members of my party were equally impressed with their choices. The restaurant seemed to specialise in crepes so for desert I couldn't resist one soaked in Grand Mariner. This was flambeed in front of me and tasted light and sublime. The subtle service we received throughout the evening was also very impressive - no intrusion - and water was constantly topped up. L'Etage provides a most enjoyable and relaxed evening with great food. What more could you want?

Tasty and fun

We came here for dinner and it was quite lovely! If you want an outside table make sure you make a reservation. Also let it be known that they do not clarify that if you order the fondue every person at your table gets charged the $20. It was tasty so we didn’t mind! We also got the lamb chops and they were delicious. We brought the meal together we a few glasses of $5 Merlot wine and had a wonderful evening. The waitress we had was very nice and did not mind that we spoke little french. Overall a good experience!

Everything was very nice

We visited the restaurant in the evening during our skiing holidays at the end of January. We ordered fondue and a bottle of local white vine. Everything was very good, also the service and pleasant atmosphere. Furthermore, the restaurant is not expensive.

Restaurant in the historic center of Briancon, very popular with tourists so you need to book. We had a very good cold cuts and cheese appetizer and medieval themed dish with meat skewered on a sphere served with potatoes and various sauces. Appropriate wine list.

Great meal

Came here with 6 friends for a meal. We booked that afternoon and were seated upstairs. It was quite warm in the restaurant. We enjoyed typical Savoyard food - fondues, hot cheese boxes and of course génépi! I’m not sure if the food would be any different to the other similar looking restaurants but it was very good.

A sincere and warm welcome. A very good hot box (cheese). Value for money 👍👍 A salted butter caramel pana cota praline as a very well prepared and very fine dessert. Without doubt the best I have eaten. I'm taking a second one. I can't remember the last time I had two desserts :)

Very good but could be even better

They deservedly run a highly regarded and successful restaurant. The food is excellent and service friendly and efficient. We have visited as a family in winter and summer a few times. How to make it an even better experience for the clientele? Please consider turning the music off. It is loud and the same each visit (a movie sound track compilation?). Some songs are very loud and some quiet, but either way, they only detract from the ambience which is otherwise excellent.

We loved this little place

This is a cozy spot with excellent food and great service. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The menu is full of great choices, and there were also some terrific wine options. Service was excellent - attentive and efficient. The food was spot on, and we loved everything we ordered. Our meal here was one of the highlights of our two weeks in the French Alps.

Very welcoming, very nicely furnished. The manager is friendly and very kind. Ate very well and paid absolutely the right price. We didn't wait more than 10 minutes. If you pass by Briancon, go and eat there and nowhere else

great food nice atmosphere

we visited the restaurant a couple of weeks ago. The staff were polite and attentive. The food was delicious. We had a "cheese box" and "donkey's ear" pasta both of which tasted great.
